    How is life treating you?
Going good. I moved into my own place. There's no central air, so as I am sweating my ass off and all I can think of is cold weather and football. And in turn I miss my football fix of FOF and the IFL. Sure hope a new version is coming down the road.

Good to see alot of familiar names still on the forums here. I've been bouncing around quite a few OOTP leagues and let me just say none of them come close to the fun I had in this league.

        Closed practices today ...

        Press a bit miffed ....

Coach Pomeranz addresses press at the close of the afternoon practice.

"Sorry about the closed doors, but I can give you a quick report. Practice was very good and extremely crisp. The offensive and defensive game plans were introduced to the teams this morning. We practiced execution in the afternoon. As far as I am concerned, they are locked and loaded!"

"Tomorrow we will start the day with three meetings in the morning. Cooordinator Cicci will meet with Offensive Captain Cavazos, Backfield Leader Marshall Richard, Receiver Leader Rod Cazares, and OLine Leader Dennis Price. The purpose of the meeting is to again review the offensive game plan, obtain the leaders observations and input, and clearly formaluate expectations for execution for the afternnoon walk throughs."

"Coordinator Romo will be doing the same with Defensive Captain Winton Nissly, Defensive Front Leader Nathan Fisk and Secondary Leader Chad Donavan."

"I will be meeting with the Special Team Captain Dwayne Nelson, the punter, kickers, holder and long snapper. Special teams can make a break you on any given Sunday. I do not want any lapse of concentration or execution in this phase of the game. We simply cannot afford to do that on Sunday."

"By the way, Dwayne Nelson made history last Sunday. He became the career all-time tackle leader for special team tackles at 201. You all know that he is and has been our spark plug on special teams. He will make sure that we get the job done on specials."

"There are no new injuries to report .... and to dispell those rumors about starters. All starters will start and all will play the full game. I fully expect to see the same from West Virgina. That all I have for you tonight. Thanks guys."

Reporters were not surpised with the announcement of individual meetings that would be led by the coaching cooordinators.

Hardy Pomeranz, one of the youngest head coaches in the league and now in his third year leading the Vipers, openly grants his two veteran coordinators immense latitude to direct their respective sides of the ball. Coach Ed Cicci and Coach J.B. Romo are both seventeen year veterans.

Well, a disappointing year ends for Georgia. We must be getting some pretty bad dice rolls. We are 4th in total offense and 7th in total defense. Yet, we'll miss the playoffs and may not even reach .500.

          We'll be stronger next year.

Yeah, Caver has been a pleasant surprise at RB, and the controversial pick QB Troutman has been playing real well for a rookie. He had a great game last week. We have more work to do though.

We have so much more work to do to catch that awesome franchise in Tulsa. They are incredible and im beginning to think that no matter what any team does, It may not be enough to catch Tulsa in the South. Ever.

Nothing would make me happier then to keep Texas out of the playoffs.

A win over Anchorage gives us something we haven't had since 2013, a winning record. It wouldn't be a glossy overpowering won loss record, but an 8-7-1 record is something to build on. Matadors have only had six winning seasons in team history, and most of those were in Albequerque. Our team history has us as an overall .429 win percentage, and we're trying hard to improve that... so, a win would help us ....me....psychologically ...and help us begin a new tradition.

Last season's 8-8 record was a dramatic improvement...and while a win would again take us to eight wins, it still shows progress.

L.A. improved attendance by 33 percent last season, tops in the league, and it looks as though we'll hold steady with possibly a minor one or two percent increase. We're still hovering at 50 percent attendance, so there's still a lot of room.

Anchorage proves a tough spot for us... they've got to play to get a chance at a w.c., so I expect their best. The first meeting at Anchorage went to them by eight, and now we'll be playing without Debussey. Challenges...gotta love em.

Good luck Anchorage...hope to beat a good opponent...imp:

We are fully aware that SLC has upset capability - we're not holding anything back in the gameplan dept. Even the wildcat formation is on the table. I'd prefer to lose the tiebreak to Texas with both teams winning than both losing. Big Tulsa fans this week (and always )

We always have trouble with Cleveland but Wichita are gonna play it honest and give it their best shot at ruining Cleveland's party.
                              But GL Mike.
