2019 Week #14 Discussion

I gave QB Billy Troutman the start today and he played well for a rookie. But rookie RB Norm Caver continues to play very well. I just can't seem to get him the ball enough. Caver is averaging 5.27 YPC while the backups (And at times starters) are averaging 2.75 and 2.50. That hurts things.

Nice to upset a playoff contender.

Poston didnt have a bad showing. Even in the final seconds down 8 He hit a 55 yard pass as time was running out to extend the game to OT.

2019 has been a total trainwreck in Fresno. Lost yet another game late. Lions got 2 4th down conversions in the winning drive.


Albert 'the INT Machine' Schwartz is back next week so Lara can just get all disgruntled like he always does.

Definitely, although I just realized this is probably the biggest week out of them all. A win this week with a Murf loss, and I leapfrog into 1st place. A Murf win regardless of my result, and it'll take a ton of help the rest of the way.

Coder ... good game ... MCINTURF played extremely well tonight, a few breaks and the score could have easily swung Vermont's way.

Sunday should be very interesting as the surge for division championships, playoff spots and byes continue!

Sorry about that ukpatfan. Good game. From my perspective, we had a 1st and goal on the 9 midway through the 4th, and if we had been able to score a TD then, we might have won the game. But you held us to a FG and that was about it. Gunther's QB rating was 17.4 - lol.

Well, congrats to OAK on another quality win. Looks like the fight for a wildcard is gonna go down to the wire. Texas is only a game behind us and they already beat us and own the tiebreaker! Ol' Winston Scott is back for the big Reno matchup - this is a huge game for VAN.

(Oh, and congrats to NWK for knocking off the beasts)

Offensively we were poor but the defense stepped up big time.

CB Dustin McDonald was the Defensive player of the Week with 3 more picks.....but he's not mentioned on the scores post in this thread??
He deserves some recognition....Dustin leads the league in picks and PDpct and is playing like an All-Pro.

Wichita are wrecking their draft position but we believe in playing honest.
If we'd won a couple of those close losses in the first 5 weeks....who knows?
Gotta get Ouellette a running back to give him some breathing space.

Gave up a 64 yard TD run and an 81 yard TD pass.
Add in 3 picks by one of the supposed more careful QB's and a rookie QB completing lots of 3rd downs against two quality CB's.... losing our top RB on the first drive.... really enjoyed this one......
