Yes, Ralph Donavan's 22 yard TD reception hurt us but the 102 yard kick-off return for a TD seemed to be a "finger" salute to his old team which originally drafted him, but let him go, then reclaimed him and again let him go. Well he is a 12 year vet, so this effort is probably his parting shot to the Viper organization. Bye-bye Mr. Donavan - we are not sorry to see you go!

His effort was the main reason for the game going into overtime. Both QBs had their moments and also had their problems as they launched 5 interceptions between them. Sacks were just as plentiful. Penalties hurt both teams on too many occasions.

There truly was not much to write to mom about with these exceptions ... Donavan for Wichita and the running tandem of Tatum/Fleming for Norfolk. But the emotion of trying to win such an abysmal contest was in itself pretty exciting ... and one that I thought we had lost on multiple occasions.

Good game ... it could have easily been an Outlaw win.
    Cheers Rook,
It was a strange game and either team might have won it but we were hanging on most of the game and didn't really deserve it.
Instead we lose another game by a FG - every single one of our loses has been close and it's frustrating the hell out of me!

Talking of ex players - how about the contribution from WR Kim Newman? Every time you needed a clutch 3rd down catch, he was there with stickum on his gloves.

it would have been nice to give Norfolk their first defeat of the year but it wasn't to be. Well played the Vipers.

Thanking the Pats for the draft pick to the Saints for Mark Ingram.
Typical Belichick move I guess.....all very well having an extra 1st each draft, but it'd be nice if he used the extra pick at some point! Maybe next year?
His draft was totally out of left field although I liked several of the picks he made.

      Good luck with Ingram.
The Saints needed a solid runner and he certainly looks to fit their needs.

Yeah, the Saints will have had 2 Heisman trophy busts in the last 4 years. Impressive drafting.

Belichik is embarrassing the league he's so far ahead in understanding the draft. Ravens are the best talent evaluators IMO but the Pats are the best all around by far.

All picks eventually get used. Better to have them higher in a draft. That's the Phantom Philosophy! imp:

The score was lopsided due to 3 int's, 2 of which were in the Newark red zone. This team desperately needs a QB, which will hopefully happen next offseason.

On a side note, I noticed that the previous owner drafted a QB in the 1st round the previous 2 seasons. Neither is even a decent backup option. How did he whiff 2 years in a row?

              GG Matt.

So now I'm a bit confused as to gameplanning. BTW, props to Little Rock. You have a tough road ahead of you. I've never seen so many, "x player tosses player aside an chases the quarterback" etc.. It's not your fault, but your offensive and defensive lines are outright terrible, and we still barely win. Your not as far away as you think bro.
I didn't realize Wilson gouged us that badly. Agree about the OL I think the DL just needs seasoning and a NT. We're on pace for -44 turnovers! I think that's why you ran it so much. Coughing it up on your 1 and 11 on my first two possessions but us in a big hole. I think you may have got the up by x increase run percentage thingy.

                Good game, Jave

Good game Beeznik. Not sure what was the difference in this game, but your rushing game failed you once again, and we just had a couple more big plays.

Winston Scott has performed pretty well in our my last 3 games, giving me some optimism. But Tulsa is coming to town, and just in time my defense is banged up. I think Scott will need a career type game to keep us in this one.

Also, I think Brinsfield has to be the most schizo RBs in the league. He has 11 10+ yd runs, yet I bet he has nearly if not the most rushes for a loss. And it's not just -1 or -2, but usually -4!

I was thinking we got a little lucky with those turnovers...
Seemed like we could move the ball, but penalties (big 4th down one to allow the TD drive) and poor 3rd down conversion rate meant we failed to score enough points to make this one comfortable.

This one could have gone either way
lol, I think we would of got beat anyway...it was time for us to come down to earth. I'm tryen to figure out how much I should trust in the normal (coach rex; no not the guy from montreal) settings I cant do too bad with those settings can we...

Yea! It's funny reading the Pats forums with all the crying about his draft's every year.
