Our pass rush was crazy good today, and we had two interceptions returned for TDs (One by a defensive tackle?!?).

It'd be great if we could see this kind of defensive performance with any regularity.

Wow, great overall performance by my team today. The biggest killer was the big plays we let up, but really the score doesn't show the effort my defense put in. 2 picks and 4 sacks, it's just hard to hold Amos down regardless, the guy is a beast.

Offense, what can I say. I tinkered with my gameplan and we had our best offensive performance of the season. Hopefully it wasn't just a fluke.

3 games behind Murf with one to play against them (and a win in hand already), so if I win out, there is still a chance of the playoffs. Doubtful, but a chance.

GG Jester, sorry I had to be a dreamkiller for you

Sanford has been having streaks of incompetence during games. It harkens back to the early years of his career. Still another good day, though.

we struggled stopping Wichitas run game. Thank goodness they had the fumbles early.

Ken Singleton goes over the 12000 yard mark.

This team is so inconsistent, and it has to be the cohesion factor. A troubling trend for us, we dominate until about 8 minutes to go in the 4th (3rd time this year), and almost give the game away. It's weird to watch my defense shut a team down all game, and then get picked apart in the last eight minutes.

WR Ken Finch is having a breakout year. I almost traded him this offseason and am glad I didn't. He's even having a better year than my top wideout, Brad Harris.

Boss ... more one-sided than I ever could have thought ... however, it is always a pleasure because we rarely match up ... I still recall Imperial Bowl in 2008, we both a great teams that year!

We finally get a win again.

Defense was bend but don't break and the offense was all about the big play today.

Great game, Beans!! Good luck on your playoff push!

Big changes to come this off-season in Lawrence if a single other team scores at will on us... starting with the owner/GM!! I'm studying Norfolk and going to make one last attempt at defense - if unsuccessful then it's obvious the roster can't realistically get any better so the problem lies only with myself.

A disappointing loss to say the least. I just couldn't stop Portland. With the loss of Carlson my defense hasn't been able to stop anyone in 4 weeks. Another great offensive showing, but it's not enough. Still have a shot at the division with Vancouver only up one game so I'm gonna have to go back to the drawing board.

Uuugh 3rd play of game and Schwartz is down! - toughing it out for the home crowd though. Well Lara is OK - but hes no Schwartz.
Since Albert was on the turf Warthogs have ran 6 plays for 0 yards. Stallions win field position battle and a short drive results in a 43 yard FG for Dorris. 3-0 SLC mid 1Q
Albert with a FD scramble - maybe he aint't hurting too bad. Spoke too soon Schwartz with a bad pass. Emmons with a great punt and the Stallions take over at their 3 late 1Q.
12 yard Turner blast gets SLC off the goalline - uuugh! Huge Beauchamp/Spencer SAC/Strip and Beauchamp 12 yard return on Jacobs gives Warthogs ball on Stallions 9!
Warthogs settle for the 26 yard Oksenberg equalizer. 3-3 too start the 2Q. Fresno forces a 3 and out and Reyna blasts the punt into the EZ for a TB. Warthog run game is just not doing anything too this point.
Fresno gets some home cooking as a 69 yard TD run is wiped out on an illegal shift - Its about time Stallions have been doing it all daaaayyyyyyy! - lol
After a series of punts Stallions take over at their 4 late 2Q with game tied at 3. Huge 3rd and 12 from the 2 for SLC - 10 yards for Turner but fumbles and .... Stallions recover, but rookie CB sensation Gaylor gets dinged for the effort.
After Stallion punt Warthogs take over at their 43. Warthogs go 3 and out and Jacobs has a chance with 1:41 from 23. Jacobs got dinged handing ball off... but it did not seem to bother him as SLC goes ahead 6-3 at the half.
This game is being dominated by the Ds. Stallions get ball too start 3Q.
Jacobs to Gomez for 5 on 3rd and 6 as Warthogs force punt too open 3Q. Schwartz gets a critical 3D conversion to start half, but too this point it is not pretty - 8 of 20 for 71y - 4th and 3 from SLC 34 and Warthogs ignore 51 yard Oksenberg FGA and go for the FD ... Schwartz finds 5th WR Helm for the FD!!!
Snap Chapman makes the gamble count with a 9 yard TD run 10-6 Warthogs mid 3Q. 3 and out for the Stallions. Warthogs with lead and ball at their own 14 late 3Q. Chapman with some YAC to convert 3rd and 11, but drive stalls. Warthogs take over at their 31 after an exchange of punts.
WOW! 2 Snap Chapman runs and a Schwartz to Roche bomb and this game has changed. 1D goal from 8 with Warthogs leading 10-6 to start the 4Q
Schwartz checks down to Chapman for the TD to start the 4Q. 17-6 Fresno. Stallions with nice return. Jacobs with and impressive drive and score is now 17-13 early 4Q.
third string TE Unsbee with the juke gets 20 YAC! Emmons punts into EZ. SLC ball at their 20 down by 4 mid 4Q. Big Jaobs to Meske 3D conversion at the 5 min point gives Stallions FD at Fresno 46 - this could be the drive that decides the game
Stallions run for a FD to Warthog 35 just under 4 min... Meske pushes off Maggard and the Referee drops the yellow hankie. 2nd and 20 from Warthog 45 3 mins left. This is the drive that will decide it
Meske for 8 3rd and 12 ... Jacobs throws into double coverage looking for Gomez, but disgruntled reserve LB Bridges hurried the throw 4th and 12 from 37 Stallions gotta go for it ... Beauchamp with the hurry and Warthogs take over leading 17-13 with just over 2 mins left.
Chapman stuffed on 1D, Schwartz audibles to the bomb and Peko hauls in the 29 yarder too flip the field. Schwartz to Roche for FD on SLC 23 and the Stallions are out of TOs comming out of 2 min warning.
LOL - Stallions pull a Packers and allow Chapman to get the TD so they can get the ball back. 24-13 Fresno late 4Q. No miracle finish for Jacob as he checked down against Warthog prevent.

gg Vito, it was closer than the final score shows. Way closer.

each team with 66 plays, Fresno had 36 more yards on the day. Run and passing were almost identical as well. Only real difference was the SAC and strip TO and a little home cookin' on the shift.
Game gave Chapman MVP and got it right. Snap had a great game against a stout D.
