That robots.txt file is in the root of the IFL webspace. Matt/Suicane should be able to edit that file to exclude archive.org.

Okay, little confused about what you may be trying to do. Download robots.txt using an FTP client. Then edit the text file using notepad (deleting the archive.org entry, not ADDING it). Finally, re-upload the file.

I forgot how that file was built. You wouldn't find much anyways, since robots have been blocked for a long time now and archive.org hasn't been able to index the site.

                        WEEK 12
                        Little Rock (8-2) @
                        Norfolk (10-0) (-3)
What some people think may be the Imperial Bowl III match-up, the Toads will travel to play the Vipers. Norfolk has been unstoppable all year, and have had plenty of luck. The Toads on the other hand, just now seem to be getting on a roll. A defeat here could set them back.
Little Rock's offense has been strong all year, with top rated QB Given and RB Dixon's 3 best games coming the last three weeks. They also got back TE Flores last week, who led them in receiving his first game back. The defense though has had it's rough spots. They seem to be playing stronger over the last 4 weeks, and this will be a big test for them.
The key to this game could be Norfolk's defense. They have only given up 10.5 points per game, best in the league. The most they have given up in one game is 16 points. LRK's offense is first in the league with an avg. of 26.2 ppg. Who wins this battle could be key.
Norfolk also has another strength. A strong, balanced offense. They have not been as hot lately as they were to start the year though, and it is hard to say how RB William Brown will do against a LRK run defense that has been tested less then any other in the league. Keeping LRK off-balance will help him.
                        Prediction: Vipers Win
Bonus Picks: Madison over Iowa City, Vermont over Portland, Louisiana over Reno

                        Super Rookie Sets Rushing Record

Little Rock's TE Joseph Flores tries to pick up extra yardage after one of his two receptions in week 12 against Norfolk. LRK knocked off the previous unbeated Vipers, 27-14

Fargo, ND. The Newark Bulldogs gave up a lot for the first overall pick in the 2005 Imperial League draft. After today though, no one can say that they gave up too much. Heck, they may have even stolen that pick. University of Wisconsin running back Alan Crespo was the target of the Bulldogs when they made that trade, and that is who they selected.
Crespo came into camp and fit in with the rest of the team from the start. He started off well, although he did not get his first 100 yard game or rushing touchdown until week three of this season. He has been among the league leaders in rushing all year, and today he made his mark. This is a moment that some people have been waiting for. Crespo and the Bulldogs traveled to Fargo to play the Dakota Spirit in week 13.
Looking to control the game and the clock, the ball was given to Crespo time and time again. A record 44 carries for the game. He made the most of those 44 carries too, as he set the Imperial League single game rushing record with an amazing 298 yards on the ground. It was a great game, with an average of 6.7 yards per carry and Crespo's one touchdown being the only one needed for the Bulldogs to get their 7th win of the year, 13-10 in overtime.
The previous record was set last year, also against this Dakota team, when Vancouver's Allan Ho rushed for 274 yards. The previous attempts record for a single game was held by Orlando's Dewitt Flynn, who had 41 carries last season in a game against Vermont.

The Big 2005 Preview Random NumbersThe Good, The Bad, The Ugly
It is not too late to take a look at the 2005 Imperial League preview. Our third season is shaping up to be our best yet I believe. In the preview you have team by team breakdowns, how they faired in the draft, what moves they made that could help/hurt them. You can also find some divisional predictions, and picks by Cringer, Jeff, and Mr. Bigglesworth. Click here for 2005 Season Preview
Click here for the Draft Review.

Week 12 - 2005 31 - After 4 TD passes this week, SLC's Nigel Booker broke the previous single season TD record of 29. He held the previous record.
11.0 - NFK's shutout of HOU has them once again on pace to break the PPG record for a team.
873 - Team rushing yards for Columbia through 12 games. Just wanted to compare that to Alan Crespo's 298 yards in one game this week.
26.1 - PPG for SLC, who now leads the league in that category having passed the Toads who now sit at 25.2.
12 - Number of teams who still have a realistic shot at making the playoffs in the NFC alone.
10 - Sacks given up by HOU T John Legg in 12 games, leading the league. He also has only 4 KRB's, making him the worst starting lineman in the league this year so far.

Week 13 - 2005 Players of the Week
                        The Good
Well, plenty of teams saw good things happen for them, not just Newark and Crespo. One that stands out to us is the sudden appearance of the Lansing Ogres at the 'top' of the NFC North standings. With Pittsburgh and Dakota down on their luck lately, the Ogres have won 4 of 5 games. They now sit at 6-6, tied with the Power for first. They have been led by top 5 running back Chris Webb, who has 3 straight 100 yard games, and rookie QB Todd Terrell. This division is still wide open though with Dakota only a half game back at 5-6-1, and Madison one game back with a record of 5-7.
                        The Bad
Houston felt the rage of one pissed of Norfolk team, who wanted to bounce back strong after their first loss of the season in week 12 to LRK. The Renegades laid an egg, getting shut out by the Vipers. The Viper defense only gave up 23 rushing yards, and kept HOU's Stclair under 50% passing on the day. On defense the Renegades had to watch 'Finger' Lozier complete 24 of his 29 pass attempts, and gave up three passing TDs to him.
                        The Ugly
Not only did Orlando get blown out by the Madison Demons, who are led by a rookie QB Will Irby. They were also humiliated by them. Orlando coaches have been heard saying such words as 'classless' and 'bullshit' when reporters try to ask about the two touchdowns that Madison put on the score board with less then seven minutes left in the game and the Demons already leading 30-17. One drive was 65 yards on only two passes, while the other was 59 yards with several 10-15 yard passes along he way. Madison coaches have not commented, but there is speculation that Madison was pissed off by comments made by Orlando players after the Demons defeated them in last years NFC Champinship game.
