Dominating Seasons

I was looking at the database. I was looking at Tigerhawks and their past seasons. Then I went to the leaders section. Clicked on Rushing. Went to 2012. Wow. Singleton was the man that season. He led every category except fumbles. And by lead, I mean was waaaayyy out front.

OVERALL-- 1603.9. Next was 1088.7
YARDS-- 2258. Next was 1735.
YPC-- 5.72. 2nd was 5.20.
TDs-- 21. 2nd was 12.
CARRIES-- 395 to 370.
1ST DOWNS-- 119. Next was 92.
10+ YARD RUNS-- 83. Almost double of the next best at 49.

What an incredible season. I dont think Gene Hamilton had as dominating season as that.

You got a player that dominated?

No, but barring injury, Ducky Mallard could make a push for that record.

Mallard has started off nicely. He needs some big games to even come close. He is already way off winning the 10 yard run title.

I think the key to this sort of domination along with a winning record.
Tulsa was 8-8 that season.

When Alan Crespo ran for his 2000yd seasons
2005 - 10-6 missed playoffs
2007 - 10-6 won NC East

Not disrespecting what DH did, just pointing out that a dominating individual player that's not a QB does not equal team success.....atleast based on what i'm seeing.

I never thought Crespo's record would be touched, but DH proved me wrong.


for the record, I believe that DH did have the most dominating season by a non QB. Especially considering this was pre-patch and not as easy to have a great running game.

Matt, in 2012, LR and Texas were 13-3. Georgia and Tulsa were 8-8.

Much the way i love and adore my Alan Crespo. Never had a guy I loved so much and Beans wrecked him! I've often wondered what would have been

On the database, I searched for and found Crespo. His 2 2000 yard+ seasons were outstanding. But Crespo never completely dominated a league like Singleton did.
Look at the database from that season. He was 1st in everything. And by a long distance.

hard to say I think. Crespo was a huge IFL icon back in the day. It was before your time, so perhaps you don't understand. or i'm just completely and totally in my own world. which is very possible. I def have rose colored glasses when we talk Crespo.
