Murfreesboro, TN - Seems like there was some Cajun' Cookin' in Louisiana Sunday for the IFL game between the Mules and the VooDoo. The VooDoo backup QB Knight throws a Hail Mary to end the game and recieves his prayer as all 6 Mule DBs converge into a pileup only to watch VooDoo's Pereira catch yet another pass, this time for a 64 yard TD as time expires, the only VooDoo TD of the day-SO FAR!
The Mules HC Jessie Lewis was still confident because the fluke play still left the VooDoo 2 points behind the visiting Mules with no time left on the clock. R. J. Montgomery was befuddled as he watched VooDoo FB Greaves pound his way through air for an untouched 2 point conversion attempt and a TIE Ballgame.
Mules HC Lewis was still confident as all the Mules needed was to win the coin toss or stop the VooDoo one time as he was confident that QB Willoughby would get the Mules within Cottrell's FG range.
The Mules lost the coin toss and DC Montgomery was stunned as the VooDoo opened the OT period with a sustained drive topped off by a Harvey Duhart 3 yard blast with more than 10 minutes remaining hanging a most improbable loss on the struggling 0 -5 Mules.
As soon as the Mules can get the film from the grassy knoll developed and delivered to league offices there will be an official protest filed.
