roadrash has got me to thinking, along with something sovstar said to me.
I think next season, at this point right before week one, we may go with 2 free agency stages. Then, with the first one we could make it the mandatory cut down day, with teams cutting rosters down to 53 guys. With that putting some guys onto the market then, the second FA Stage could be for guys to try to sign players before week 1, and improve their depth in some cases.
Otherwise we have this mad rush on Monday for guys who are going to be cut on Sunday (and this past Monday) and something about that just seems 'unreal' to me.
Thoughts? Any other suggestions for next offseason/preseason?
