I was just wondering how others treat their own team's HOF. RB J.B. Lincoln just retired this year (wish he would've stayed one more) and I think he may deserve to get into VAN's HOF >>>
10 yrs, 9665 yds rushing, 606 yds receiving, 87 total TDs.

But the downside is that he is not an original K-Whales, he played his 1st yr in Fresno. I was curious what others philosophies are. Do they have to spend their entire career with the team? performance benchmarks?

pick up a player in year 2 of a 10 year career he is definatly a Killer Whale. So you missed him in the draft you still got him when you could.

Nah man, to me a guy like Olin Holst will always be a Cardinal even though he was a toad for awhile. Even Tim Austin, Cardinal blue and through.
      I luv British womenz.

Hoslt was with the Cards thru most of the glory days though. Lincoln was only not a KW for a season.

As an example do you ever think of Farve as a Falcon?

IFL wise I still check in on CB McKenzie even though he was only a Mule for a couple of seasons, but one of them was a career year for almost any CB. So I say if you want to put a guy who rolled thru town into your circle of honor then its your circle do what you want.

That depends. Are we talking about Favre, or Favre's penis?

I would grade it based on where he had the most success and played the most amount of years. Although you have a player like Hamilton. IF he had stayed in Lansing I would say he would be in their HOF, BUT he got traded to Penn, so that's 7 years in Oakland, 5 in Lansing and 2 in Penn. He had way more success in Lansing, BUT won a ring with Penn. It's close but I still say that puts him in Oaklands HOF.
And like Sui said, some of the old time players like Holst will ALWAYS be a Cardinal. No questions asked, not even close. Lincoln is a no brainer. Played 9 of 10 seasons in Vancouver(poor guy). He retires a Whale.

If I feel a player's in the Phantoms HOF (which I haven't even created yet) then I debate my arbitrary reasoning with the Holy Triumvirate of me, myself, and I... if the proposal passing my identical arbitrary reasoning in judgement then the player gains entry.

Players that were instrumental on Championship rosters get a huge bump towards the HOF.

thanks for the thoughts. Based on his career I'm still not certain that he gets in the Pod of Fame. Very good, yes - outstanding, probably not (only 1 pro bowl)

I just put people who were really valuable to the team and fan favorites. I don't use the teams fan favorite rating mind you, but players who'd definitely be huge fan favorites if they were real.

Because of the stats they build up, they also usually play a majority of their careers with my team as well. The only exception is Niger Booker, but he was a huge impact in turning a then lifetime losing team into a playoff team. That gave him a massive boost with the fans and was elected due to that.

My QB position has been so brutal over the years, he was only with us 4 1/2 seasons yet destroy all the career QB stats for us.

So basically no real rhyme or reason, just those who I feel deserve the recognition

I consider a teams HOF or ring of honor pretty important. I look at how many seasons he played for us and his contributions. I have nobody in our ring of honor. My qualifications are pretty hard. When Irby retires he will be the first. Other then him i can't think of another player worthy.
