I implore you to 'watch' the MTL/LAN game.

It is the most bizarre, frustrating, exciting, surprising and unusual game I have ever 'seen'.

I was very scared about this game, and for good reason. The Lynx have a very good roster and we were just so very weak up the middle. As it turned out, we were dominated. Running the ball through our D and passing at will. Very frustrating to see, considering that we were effective last year with the exact same scheme and players.
All in all we still had a chance to win. ANC fumbled 7 times and gave us 4 of them.

2 HUGE plays of the game
first one was in the 3rd qtr
4-5-ANC25 (3Q: 02:37) Butch Schulz attempted a 42 yard field goal and it was blocked by Don Phillips. ANC Preston Benson recovered the ball at the ANC42.

Newark: Single-Back formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 with dime personnel and weak-side man, otherwise cover-7 zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
1-10-ANC30 (4Q: 00:42) King Burger pass was intended for WR Frank Togiai and was intercepted by S Cornell Berrian at the ANC19. The interception was returned 4 yards. Tackled by Frank Togiai. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
Burger throws the game away with 42 ticks on the clock and moving the ball down the field. Way to go KING!!

Good game Budda. You've got a good team in a tough division. I can see the Lynx in the playoffs though.
Good luck the rest of the way

Wow. That Nor'easter played havoc with our game, king.
That was probably the ugliest game Ive seen.

Well that was absolutely retarded. We get the ball back in FG range late in the game, and my coach decides to attempt 2 passes in a row? Thank you for losing me this game, cheap fof code!

Sorry, against a tough team, things like that have to go right and they didn't. GG Oakland, you pulled this out.

              GG Boss,

Wichita flew out of the blocks on both sides of the ball.....moving the chains well, especially through the air, and the D was absolutely smothering the Demons offense.
But like an old man on viagra - it couldn't last!

Madison made some adjustments and Outlaws QB Scott hit the self destruct button with 2 picks and a fumble as Wichita 'drooped' second half.

In the end an entertaining game but ultimately another defeat.
Wichita football pundits are wondering how much longer Scott will remain under center.

Next up, a tough home game versus an unbeaten Hartford....

                Good Game Pennsylvania.

I was very lucky to force the game to OT with a 53yd TD pass in the final seconds, but the two INTs in OT were just too much to overcome

                    lol

glad we helped with that at least!

Sometimes it's better to be lucky then good. Like a teenager sneaking out his girlfriends window with his pants in hand while her dad is walking up the stairs, we sneak out of Houston with the W.

I have to agree with Steve here, what an odd decision:
                      Houston:
1-10-OAK42 (4Q: 02:52) Orlando Surratt pass completed to RB Donald Hasting for 10 yards. Tackled by ILB Jon Hawkins.
                      Houston:
1-10-OAK32 (4Q: 02:35) Orlando Surratt pass was blocked at the line, intended for WR Albert Boxer. DT Bucky Summers blocked the pass. The defense looked very familiar with that play.
                      Houston:
2-10-OAK32 (4Q: 02:27) Orlando Surratt pass fell incomplete, intended for WR Tim Deforne. ILB Jon Hawkins defended the pass. The defense looked very familiar with that play. The quarterback threw into double coverage.
Houston: . The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
3-10-OAK32 (4Q: 02:17) Orlando Surratt scrambled for 6 yards. Tackled by CB Warren Farley.
Why his coach wasn't milking the clock is beyond me. That decision alone made it much easier for me to have plenty of time to drive down the field for the tying score.

Watching this game made me feel great about my offseason though. Doyle is just terrorizing offenses this year, being totally disruptive. I nearly traded him but couldn't get any offers. No one expect Jester and one other was interested, and the few offers I did get were fairly lowball. He's having a terrific season so far.
And my decision to use a high pick on a K/P combo is making me look like a genius. Cornell Burgess is on pace for a record year hitting 7/8 so far, singlehandedly winning these last 2 games and Vernon Dirksen is averaging 43.3 yds a punt, keeping Oakland on the + side of the field position game.

Just a props to Houston....I watched the game twice now and still have no idea how in the world I got 29 points on the board. You stuffed everything I tried to do. And how in the fuck did Surratt get hurt?
1-10-HOU49 (4Q: 00:07) Orlando Surratt pass completed to WR Kelly Hoffman for 12 yards. Tackled by S Zach Borders.
Oakland won the coin toss and will receive to begin overtime.
                      Start of overtime 1.
You never even got the ball in OT...

It was a battle fought down to the last second. I feel lucky to have escaped with a win. Our teams were the joke of the league not that long ago, you have a hell of a team this year right up to where Surrett when down. Good luck to ya Steve!

GG Texas ... sorta sucks to lose in OT but somebody has to win.

I am really starting to hate the game ending code in this game. Besides all of the other flaws mentioned, I found another one that I was not aware of today.

                        Time seems to stand still.

                        1:02 Pass; time out called
0:54 Run; no time out and only 7 seconds click off the clock
0:47 Another run; no time out and only 9 seconds click off the clock
0:38 Another run; no time out and only 8 seconds click off the clock
0:30 Another run; time out finally called and 26 seconds miraculously click off the clock
0:04 Field goal putting game into OT

Absolutely not believable, not even with a no huddle involved! Well, I am not making an excuse for the loss, cause Texas deserved the win as they came back strong in the 4th quarter. I just wish that the game was a bit more realistic. I expect a bit more from a game that has the tenured history of this game with multiple editions (and patches to those)! Rant over.

                          Speaking of rants....
                          4-7-HOU24 (4Q: 00:33) Cornell Burgess attempted a 41 yard field goal and succeeded. Houston 26, Oakland 26
(notice only 33 seconds left in the game...he misses, times up, we lose)

                          FOR THE WIN:
4-10-HOU28 (OT: 11:30) Cornell Burgess attempted a 45 yard field goal and succeeded. Oakland 29, Houston 26 Final Score: Oakland Devildogs 29, Houston Renegades 26
                          Yet....
Game MVP: Orlando Surratt, Houston Renegades
coughbullshitcough.....:scratchhead:....A rookie kicker with not one but TWO game on the line kicks...nails em both ON THE ROAD in a hostile environment to seal the victory and gets no love for POTG.

Opening drives saw Vermont's Sepulvdea's fumble ball away at midfield, but Fresno got nothing from the favorable field position. 7-0 Mountaineers as Swpulveda ripped Warthogs for nearly 150 1Q passing yards.

Schwatz with a nice drive to make score 7-7 early 2Q. Big Vermont KOR gives Mountaineers 1&10 at Fresno 29. Which set up failed 44 yard FGA. Warthogs return favor with a rookie QB Ostwald mangled hold on a 47 yard Oksengerg FGA. Fresno CB Odenbach makes his first action of 2017 memorable with a late pick-6. Big Vermont bomb to Musial gives Mountaineers first down at Fresno 27 at the 2 minute warning. Mountaineeers get equalizer and it is 14-14 at the half. Sepulveda continues to rip Warthogs with 262 passing yards at the half.

Warthogs turn a Schwartz to Roche bomb into a 7 point lead when Schwartz scrambles for a TD making score 21-14 Fresno early 3Q. Daft with 34 yard FG 21-17 Fresno mid 3Q. Schwartz leads Warthogs on an impressive TD drive making score 28-17 Fresno late 3Q. Reid pinned Warthogs near thier goalline on an excellent punt. 28-17 Fresno end of 3

Big 3rd down First down catch by undrafted rookie RB Blevins too get Warthogs off their goalline. Foleys kick into wind gives Mountaineers posession near midfield early 4Q which Mountaineers convert into a successful 28 yard FG. 28-20 Fresno mid 4Q. Huge offsides on Vermont gives Fresno a midfield first down with 3:18 left in an 8 point game. Foley pines Mountaineers inside their 20 with just over 2 mins left. Sepulveda leads Vermont to an impressive TD and the game comes down to this 2 point conversion attempt - and Sepulveda overthrows an open reciever 28-26 Fresno with 38 seconds left in the game. Fresno reverve DB Bush emerges from the onside kick with the ball. And Schwartz wisley downs the ball to give Fresno a hard fought road win.

Game credited Schwartz with MVP, As spectacular as Sepulveda was I have too agree with this one.

GG Suicane. VAN had 31 first downs to 9, and a 42-18 minute time of possession advantage and only won by 6. In fact, in the 3rd Q STL would've had a first and goal on my 4 after a long pass but the WR fumbled it away - so, we could've lost this game. Barlow sure looks like the real deal to me-just needs some more pieces around him.
