  • What constitutes "past injustices"?

Is it simply slapping on the Franchise Tag, as I've always thought, or is it not giving in to hold-outs? I forgot that I told Stanfield to go screw everytime he held out and maybe that's why he eventually wouldn't re-sign.

I doubt it.. at least that's not how it went down with Pearson for me. I tagged him two years in a row without him holding out and then the second year I tried offering him a new deal after the tag and he refused citing the good ole injustices.. bastard.

Jester, if you do no sign your QB, and he ends his holdout, in all likelihood he will not resign with you. Simply put. You will get past injustices messages.

But if a guy's loyalty is high enough (if the game actually uses loyalty to determine this), maybe he will resign.

Also, in rare cases you can still sign a guy after franchising him twice in a row. But there is also a franchise rule prohibiting the franchising of a player after having a 1-year contract. Not sure if a franchise tag counts as a one-year contract. So you may not be able to franchise a player two years in a row anyhow if you were thinking of going that route.

          haha Thanks.

I have no problem giving Amos a new contract. I just feel we should use the most recent QB contract, the QB who beat Amos in the post-season, as the starting point and go DOWN from there.

Oh well, gotta pay these 3rd round picks I guess.
