Jay, You guys have had an up and down season. Right now you guys are up having won 5 of your last 6 games. What do you guys have to do tonight to win?


It's going to be a tough game, Vic. For us to have a chance I need to play mistake-free today. With all of the offensive firepower they have, we can't afford to give them a short field. On the other hand, we really have to make something happen offensively. We have faith in our defense, but Tulsa led the league in scoring. We'll need to keep up.


A lot of the playoff troubles have been put on your shoulders. You had lost 8 straight playoff games prior to this one. What's different this year?

We've had a lot of seasons end disappointingly, but that's behind us now. I feel like we really came together as a team this season. We had a bit of a philosophy shift the past two seasons. We don't put up the big numbers we once did, but we're well-rounded. We can find different ways to win. I think the difference between this season and last is that we didn't quite have the right personnel for the new system.

With all the accolades you've had over the years, what does it finally feel like to be in the Imperial Bowl with an opportunity to win your first championship but in your 12th year in the league?

It feels great, Vic. All of those accolades were gained in the pursuit of a championship. That's why we really play. To have this opportunity at this stage in my career when I can really appreciate what it means is just amazing.
