Check out who the DROW from Boston. A young DE who in his first season has won the "in game" DPOW award 2 times this season. Homeboy got 4 sacks today

    Also,
Last years MVP suffered a torn deltoid muscle and is effectively done for the year. Considering the year Cavazos had, it will be interesting to see what the vipers will do with him this offseason. He has been a huge disapointment. 1 hit wonder? flash in the pan? Only time will tell

It would be interesting to he hear Cy's take on Cavazos. Had he signed him, how different would the Lions be this year. Obviously they wouldn't have been in the Hamilton sweepstakes. Would the Lions be where they are today with CAvazos?

Congrats Matt, you really deserved the win.

Your team is very playing very well right now, I did what I could, but you weren't to be stopped today. Kickoff return touchdown, 57 yd FG, wow, just too good for me today.

Positives for me? I don't know, Newark not scoring 50. ;-) The gameplan seemed to work as Burger was sacked four times and Jamison held in check somewhat. Highlight for IWC was 1st round "maybe-bust" King playing like a 1st rounder and winning Offensive Rookie of the Week.

Deciding game against Montreal next week, win and go to the playoffs, lose and worry about tie breakers.

Forgot to mention that it was also great to play against one of my all time fav draft picks..........WR Rueben Caffrey.
I regrettably was forced to trade him in the Kraig Marasco deal, but I'm very happy to see what he's done in the league once he was given the opportunity.

not without his chances though. He had 16 targets. The real star of the day was Martin King. He caught everything thrown his way. 9 catches, 6 FD, 111yds, and a TD

good game Vancouver. Could not overcome the turnovers, and fumble and kickoff return for touchdowns this game. Just a bad, unfortunate game for us. If we were able to run the ball I think we would have been OK, even with the gaffes. But your team came to play and the game seemed more like a defensive struggle on both sides and whoever blinked (we did) was going to lose. Can't believe we gave up a kick return for a TD. My special teams has been beyond stellar all year long.

But we are insured homefield throughout the AFC playoffs with a Portland loss today. Now time to make sure Norfolk doesn't make the playoffs.

Your defense was just too good (or the QB throwing very inaccurately), 3 INTs and 9 passes defensed don't leave many balls for the WRs.

I'm not really sure if the offense is missing Shapiro. He has 100 route running, but low avoid drops and getting downfield. He gets a lot of targets, but not many completions.
Caffrey usually is a stud, though, catches balls in double coverage and turns up the field and makes it a twenty yard gain.

A defensive battle today in Anchorage. But the Tigerhawks were too much for Anchorage.

                    GG Budda

McLovin breaks the single season FG record today. It took him 3 tries to do it. A bad snap, then a block. Finally, he hit a 49 yard attempt. Congrats.

We remain in the catbirds seat for home field. That would be huge. I sure would hate to play in the 1st round. This conference is crazy.

We win our second in a row and our offense has finally come uncorked. I don't know if it took a while to get a handle on the team or what, but we're finally playing good football on both sides of the ball and the penalties that were killing us are now under control. I hope we've grown up.

We did a good job against Little Rock.

GL Little Rock the rest of the way...

GG, ukpatfan! The INTs were the difference makers.

                        *******

Louisiana comes up big and gives Orlando the inside track to a new QB!

FIVE divisions still up for grabs heading into week 17!! What a season! I'm sitting at 13-2 and in danger of being a Wild Card team if I lose.

Warthogs with a nice game opening TD drive. Fresno D on fire in the 1Q with 4 3 and outs, and the Warthogs get another nice drive to open the 2Q making the score Fresno 14 Texas 0 early 2Q. Texas answers with a 55 yard 1 play Chung TD strike. An ominous sign of things too come for Warthog fans. Texas gets ball at their 42 mid 2Q after a short punt by undrafted rookie Foley leads to a game tying Texas TD with just under 4 minutes left in the half. Schwartz's 2nd INT of the day leads to another Chung TD strike for Texas first lead of the day. Schwartz third first half INT leads to an end of half FG making the score Texas 24 Fresno 14 at the half.

Texas wins field position game leading to a FG making the score 27-14. Fresno created a rare TO on a rookie DE Fewell sac. This set up a Snap Chapman 23 yard TD run making the score Texas 27 Fresno 21 - and this is as close as the Warthogs got. Texas struck early in the 4Q with another Chung TD 34-21 Texass. Even when Fresno does good things they still mess it up, as the Johnboy Peko fumble that leads to another Chung TD pass. 41-24 Texas still early 4Q. Schwartz had another pick mid 4Q and Trojans run out the clock outscoring Fresno 41-7 over the final 3 quarters.

                          Turnovers Fresno 5 Texas 1
Points off Turnovers Texas 17 Fresno 7

Where the game was really decided was in the sceondaries. Schwartz had 0 bad passes but the Trojan sceondary had 4 INTs and the Warthog WRs dropped another 5. Schwartz go no help at all from his young and untalented WRs.

Chung had 0 bad throws 0 INTs and only 1 drop as the Texas WRs abused the Warthog secondary.

PS ... thanks for giving Cavazos his due for his miserable season, ... he needed a wake up call and perhaps he may hear it in the hospital bed. One injury, I am really happy about ... sick, I know.
I actually went away from my pass defense gameplan for this one. I really thought you were gonna run the ball more and I was cursing myself when you started passing at will. Cavazos hasn't played will this year so I assumed you were going to have a more balanced run/pass split. Was Doyle the player who ended Cavazos's career? Will he ever be the same?

gg WVA. You almost completed a great comeback at the end. That 55yd FG that Dorris hit on my last drive ended up being huge 'cause you could've tried for the tying FG after getting the onside kick. I can't believe I won without an offensive TD. I think we had our first defensive TD since I took over and Bard has suddenly come alive with 2 KO returns for TDs in the past 3 weeks.

Well, I doubt I'll be able to repeat this on the road at SLC next week. We'll try but SLC has won the past 5 games. Sorry Jave in advance. It'll be fun to watch and see who comes out on top of the NC west. Does Reno have a shot if they beat OAK and I beat SLC?
