Ok, I did my homework. That same scrub QB had more than one other start, he started a few games in the preseason, and played in another (the same preseason in which you say a bunch of backups play). Here are those results...
Game 1 - 6 att / 6 cmp / 95 yards / 0 td / 0 int / 118.8 rating
Game 2 - 16 att / 12 cmp / 76 yards / 1 td / 1 int / 79.2 rating
Game 3 - 12 att / 11 cmp / 128 yards / 0 td / 0 int / 111.1 rating
Game 4 - 16 att / 5 cmp / 116 yards / 0 td / 4 int / 18.7 rating
I'll give you one guess which games were pre-patch and which was post-patch.
Yes, one game is a small sample, but if you can read, others have had fairly similar results in their games with higher turnovers than they're used to, pre-season or not, including you. Last pre-season, your QB's (scrubs included) threw a combined 2 INT's in 4 pre-season games.
You're also right that we'll have to wait until regular season to see how it really effects things, however it doesn't take a genius to see that in our first game after a patch designed to curb the passing game was released, the passing game has been far different than in the previous seasons. Or do you think it's just a major coincidence?
