Weight Training/ Unsigned tomorrow

In the single player game, you can do the last ditch 'pre camp sign' and still have the rookie weight train.

Is there a mechanism in place whereby we can do that in the upcoming simulation? Since it wont tell us if he signed, I have to assume it wont allow us to alter his weight, am I correct?

Leagues usually advance the stage at that point, but I understand what you are saying.
