We dominate Texas. A huge win. Sanford goes off. 22-28 393 yards and 5 TDs for a spiffy 158.3 QB rating.
Albriktsen had 7 catches for 167 yards and 3 TDs. The amazing stat in that is the 110 YAC.
Singleton has a workman like day. 23 for 104 yards and 1 TD.

      GG Tim.

We need to win out and even then I'm not sure we get into the playoffs.

Epic game, r00k. Amazingly, this is our first series sweep of the Vipers as well as our first three game winning over them, too.

As for the game, things went bad right from the start with a sack/fumble and then the ensuing touchdown. Then we just buckled down and chipped away at the Vipers defense. After that fumble, I thought we played just about as well as we could to come back and pull out a victory.

It's also been a while since I've been in a game where I had seven penalties to my opponent's none. Most of those penalties came in the first quarter too, luckily. I've seen lopsided calls, like 12 penalties to 5. But 7-0 may be a first.

Still, this seemed to be a game that appeared very cleanly played and had a little bit of everything. Good game to watch in Solevision, but a little tough on the nerves for me in the fourth. Like I said. Good game.

Harding played great. I know I said he may get his starting job back, but Markel has played just a little bit better in his starts that I'm officially torn. Harding has shown that he throws less INTs, but Markel has been more explosive.

Also, this win clinches our first division title since 2004.

If you win out you should be in the playoffs considering that you will have a better conference record than Norfolk.

Tough loss, Coder. Not nearly as exciting as our last game. Good luck in the last 2 weeks!

Arnold Greene is now injured for 6 weeks with only 2 left in the regular season. Won't be seeing him again this season unless we make it deep into January.

Yeah, that was a tough game.. went toe to toe for each touchdown until one team made a mistake.. Virgil tries to scramble, is hit, fumbles and you're off to the races

                Stanfield is a beast.

I didn't mean to go in there like a butcher though. I'm sorry for all your injuries.

My one positive... Rickey Moss.. 9 tackles and 5 assists.. He's solidifying himself as DROY.

good win for us against LA. Defense played better so we improved some. Up next is Oakland which we need to win to keep a 5 game win streak going...

Monty Wollmuth is really showing me the flawed thinking behind the current PDPct rating for DBs. There's been a couple games this season where he's performed great IMO but has a low PDPct rating because he gave up some short completions - sometimes on 3rd down short of the marker. I wish average length of reception was on there somewhere and more importantly a 3rd down conversion percentage rating. I have no problem with a DB giving up 100% completions if they're all going to be under 5 yards. Every time one of my players makes a tackle behind the line on a screen pass I say to myself "Great play. Unfortunately it's gonna ruin your main stat though."

I agree, it was a good smash mouth game to watch on solvision. We both have patient offenses that are not afraid to run the ball. Actually, you ran more than I anticipated this game.

The Vipers have been playing a tad above their heads this season. I personally believe that you and Boston have the superior talent.

For some reason, the ball has been bouncing very favorably for the Vipers as we have been on top of the league in turnover ratio. That factor alone has been the winning formula for the Vipers this year, not personnel matchup.

Lozier is clearly a few steps off of his past year's game but that is ok. He will retire a HOF'er and I hope he can go out in style this season.

I am very impressed with how you have built your team. It is solid and as you say D-E-E-E-E-P. It is also built to last for awhile --- damn!

Congrats on the division ... its been a long time coming for the WV franchise to get back in the saddle. That has to be a good feeling. Winning a division in this league is an accomplishment in itself as this league has a great group of dedicated and knowlegeable GM's.

Now I find myself in a dogfight with Boston for the remaining wild card berth. Hoping I can get my ticket punched because I think we have the potential to shake things up in the playoffs. As I said before, the Vipers are not a powerhouse but for some reason, they are always around the ball at the right time ... which in my mind makes an unpredictable and dangerous team.

Good luck here on out and if you can't make a decision on QB, just flip a coin and give the one that doesn't win to me.

California was perfect inside the 20 and Portland's Caro had an incompletion on 4th and goal from the 9 inside final 2 minutes for the difference in the game.
