Orlando lost one of their best players (WR Louie Reynolds) on the 2nd play of the game and the effects were felt immediately as their lack of offense caused the Phantoms starting field position to be inside Pirate territory resulting in quick 40ish yard drives for TDs. Tough week for ya, Kurt.

Meanwhile only scoring 36 leaves the Phantoms open to a Mules leapfrogging into the league scoring lead and in the driver's seat for a new record.

      Notes from the game:
      1. SLC was UNFUCKINGSTOPPABLE ON 3rd down to the tune of 11/14. I mean, WOW.
      2. Double coverage once again means NOTHING as once again Jacobs feasted on throwing into double coverage for huge gains time after time after time.
      3. David Norris is GOD. Lending more proof that this game is slanted to the QB-WR-WR setup as Jacobs calmly threw wherever he wanted all day long despite me setting my defense to 90% pass stoppage. It made nearly no difference.
      4. Jacobs has now thrown 10 touchdowns against us this year and I have no clue how to stop the carnage.

      Another week, another loss.

Great first half for us, choked in the 2nd. 71 yard punt by LOU was crazy

I don't exactly know how we beat CLE. It looks like we slowed down their passing attack just enough to slip by with a one point win. Will have to look at the game log to figure this one out.

          GG.

You sacked Virgil 5 times.. wow.. I don't think he's been hit that many times in one game.. EVER BEFORE.. This was a tough game, but our defense won it for us.

Warhammer ... your team does not reflect its W-L record and you played us even for much of the game. A long reception by TE Harding and long run by RB Tatum provided the winning margin for us. You should be very competitive next year, IMO, even in our pretty tuff division. GG.

Now, the Vipers need to get ready for a real big one vs. Madison. The pressure is on in the AC East and the Vipers need to keep pace with Boston and WV before the sprint to the tape.

Eh, not even a .500 year this year it seems. It's ok, I like the team, it's just young and needs some holes filled still. Fox may start at QB for a bit I think. Spent a 1st on him, might as well. The HTML says he has been playing some anyways, and he did ok today.

                GG Tulsa.

Ugh. It wasnt even a game. Was this a training camp game? I think there was a no hitting rule or something. Tobias just played catch with his receivers all game.

Lose the turnover battle and win the game. Boston has no turnovers and we turn it over three times, twice inside Boston's 25 yard line (one inside their 20) and then Boston returns one of its own turnovers for a 51 yard touchdown. But we still win. Nice to see. Just have to win a few key games and the Beasts may be looking at its first division crown in many years. Good game Boston. You guys kept it close, but it just had a feeling that we were going to just keep coming at you until we could pull away.

And we decided to play Deron Markel with a week left on his injury and it proved to be the defense for us. Markel played, arguably, the best game of his career and earns player of the week honors.

BIG NEWS OUT OF TULSA! We sweep Little Rock for the 1st time EVER.

After a painfully slow start, we took over in the 2nd half and dominated the Toads. Sanford is not throwing the balls to the WRs. Need to see why.
Singleton has carried this offense all season long. Need to change that or at least give him some help.

GG LR. We are catching up to you in series wins.

We take back the division lead fromm Texas. Need to keep winning.

We could do nothing to stop WV's offense today. Even 3 turnovers didn't help because we only got 3 points off them.

3rd down defense and field position due to the return game were HUGE factors.

I guess I should take some solace in sacking Virgil.....though I couldn't get past his exceptional 3rd down passing rating on 3rd and 8+yds.
there was one point in the game where my avg yd to go on 3rd down was 3. something and yours was 8.9ish. You were like 7/9 and i was 1/13.

California got lucky on a couple of fumble recoveries and a penalty aided 2 minute drive to take a halftime lead. This only set up the 4th quarter meltdown as Liberty got FD after FD on SECOND and anything. Game came down to a LA stuff on third and 1 forcing Heroes to kick FG making score 28-27 LA late in fourth. California got the ball back with some time on the clock, but went 3 and out. Schwartz got 61 yards on last play of game against all out prevent D too pad his stats.

Game came down to LA's redzone effeciency and California's horrific run D.

congrats David I know you enjoyed it. Fun too win a game, any game, when rebuilding.
