It wasnt WHAT HA's argument was... everyone can have an opinion on how they feel another owner behaves, it was HOW he worded it. It truly was one of the most venemous things I've read on these boards, and totally lacking in taste even for him. In typical HA fashion, he refused to back off from what was a horrifying post, which led to where we are now. Sometimes people go so far over, that they feel they have to stick with where they went, which is not at all the case, but some people feel like it would be 'backing down' if they even slightly conceded that maybe (just once) they went a tiny bit too far. It's unfortunate. Again, he has a certain style that leads you to expect something over the edge, but this was apparently too far, even with that in mind. Very unfortunate, as a few of us agree that his style was a mainstay here and will certainly be missed.

No one goats anyone into flipping their lid or acting irresponsible. You are responsible for your own emotions and your own words. HA was given plenty of opportunity to shut it down.

And I don't know that Jester picks apart everyone's posts. In this case Jester was only pointing out the weaknesses of HA's argument after HA wanted to pick apart Jave's post, with irrational banter.

Yeah I think HA felt is was more then just the one time Argot. It wasnt one time that made him go off and say those things its that Jester always thinks he knows everything and likes to rub everyone elses face in it and pick apart their posts and I think from what I have understood HA was fed up with it and went off. Again I said it was tasteless but he was right to be upset. Poke someone once or twice they may shrug it off keep pokeing them and their bound to snap.

What HA said was way over the line. There is no defending what he said. It doesnt matter if he was upset or not. There are subjects you do not approach. And if you do approach them, when you are told you went over the line and to tone it down. You dont refuse. I hope you understand that it wasnt just what he said, but the fact that he kept after it and wouldnt stop.

hey buddy I know your hardup to stick up for your boyfriend but I think you'd be the stupid one. Saying he has a right to be upset and the right to say what he said are 2 different things. I think straight up he had a right to be upset Jester always messes with him every chance he gets. Should he have said that bit he did no. I will step out of this thread now and let you further stickup for your boyfriend forgot this was the Jester and Tarcone League ().

I think he should get to come back. He has been here for a few seasons now and really this is his only blow up on the board that i recall.

He is the most entertaining person on this board. I didn't know him before he joined the IFL but i heard a lot about his antics. I think he is alright and deserves to run his Heroes team.

Him and Jester have been going back and forth on here for seasons now. His comment was of poor taste but i don't think Jester took it personally or anything. Jester already has said he will be missed.

Its just something that boiled to a head. Everytime HA posts his feelings on something Jester does pick it apart sentence by sentence. Sometimes that stuff gets on your nerves until you have had enough and say something you probably shouldn't say.

Were all grown men here. Just get over it and lets move on.

I must say that in the end, the HA experiment lasted much longer then I originally expected. I was the one who brought HA into the league, and if I am remembering correctly it was done with some strong doubt from two guys who would end up taking over as Commish not long after. Basically this always happens with HA at some point, whatever board he is on, whatever league he is in. Yes he irritates guys often, but he is a good owner and into his team. It seems he finally found the exact line and stepped across it this time, he seems to be great at that. It was probably the right move at the right time with HA. He would have kept going if the league tried to just move on from it.

Good to know we get a great owner in California with Kobeck taking over. Good luck Kobeck.

I honestly didn't mind HA, but this was a good trade for the league. Sorry, but Warhammer or Kob > HA. I did like HA's passion however, so when a spot ever opens up again, I wouldn't care if he re-joined. I also wouldn't care if he never did. shrug

I definitely think you guys made the right call in the sense you gave him an out. It was really his choice at this point. I will miss his insane rants though.

If California succeeds, which I think they will, it will be true and bitter irony.

First off, I will really miss HA.. He adds a flavor to this league that's hard to come by. He's like the Don Cherry of IFL.. outrageous, often misdirected in his accusations, but beneath the tough surface a funny guy with a passion. What happened here though, is not actually something I would have been very upset about and I doubt that if Jester had seen it, I kind of think he'd taken it in stride too. I realize a lot of people were offended by it.. anyway.. I really got the feeling that HA has been pushing towards a point where he'd have to be fired.. he'd lost interest in the league and was even convinced to stay this past off-season. Now he was looking for a way out and took it.

The problem is that he NEVER admits to being wrong, but he still keeps pushing his point and often "after the fact" states that he "said that all along".. I can get really frustrated with people like that in real life, and having seen so many of these incidents from HA through the years, it was about time someone went back and quoted HA on things he said earlier and then compare with what he just had said.

And Dakota, what you've missed is that this "feud" between HA and Jester has been going on since long before you got here.. A few seasons ago, Jester wrote a (very good) guide to what makes a good MP GM.. those were his philosophies.. who was the first to criticize that? Guess...

You defend HA for getting back on Jester, but you obviously don't know their history.. HA has never been "innocent" in this little battle.. He's started unprovoked attacks on many GMs before.

We'll all miss HA. He, for all intents and purposes, was a good GM.
however, if he doesn't want to come back, he's not coming back
