In this league G Wayne Ostrowski was a 80 rated G who promptly dropped 40 pts in an offseason, for no reason.
Chalk it up as badd luck.

My DE with 10 sacks last year, 9th year in the league, never any major injuries decided to drop 40 points in current and future.

How can a player with such an established career suddenly take such a massive hit to ratings? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

I guess i'll just pretend he was in a car crash in the off-season and is wheelchair bound for the rest of his life. This will help me forget how absolutely absurd that was.

This won't make you feel better but I'll give you Urlacher as a comparison. Was a great player. Got a degenerative back problem and now he's a walking, talking, tackling has-been until the team admits it and drops him.

I think these random super busts in FOF might really be attributed to things like car crashes as you mention but Jim just never put in any random text messages, which would have helped quite a lot.

I was just thinking that instead of just cutting a player by 40 points, which is hard for some to accept, FOF should give injuries to incoming draftees and for some players the injury won't show up until after being drafted.

GMs are forced to gamble on players with injury concerns (Adrian Peterson) and uncover hidden injuries (Bears 1st round pick Chris Williams) after the fact all the time.

Or simply give players a "White" flag to indicate that a player has had a history of injury that shows up only after you interview the player, or after you draft him.
