Draft Theroy

I dont know just thought Id make a post about some draft theroy with the draft coming up.

I have heard some theroys out there that late picks are worthless what is everyone elses opinion?

I was playing SP (I know your gonna knock it) but in the 7th round with the 14th pick I picked up a 30-57 RB pre camp 30-52 Post Camp. Pretty good numbers all around in the ratings too. I mean if there is diamonds in the rough at round 7 Id figure you'd want as many picks as you can have esp in a league with no FA market and just do alot of research into your draft class looking for diamonds in the rough.

It's possible. Look at my LT Duane Barton. 61/61 6th round. Then look at my second round pick Sean Carlson, currently crashed to 43/43. I love the randomness of the draft. Alot like the NFL, ya just don't know. Remember when Miami drafted Zach Thomas in the 5th round? Ya just never know....

You remember back in the day when the Steelers drafted Stallworth in the 4th round, Mike Webster in the 5th round and well of course Lynn Swann and Jack Lambart in the first 2 rounds. 4 HOF in one draft.

sometimes the late guys boom and it is always nice when it happens. Mules locked up RT for a while with a late round pick.

I think those are usually kickers or speculative picks for the better teams and hole fillers for the rebuilding clubs.

I think the fun part is the crazy contracts given out in late FA to the undrafted guys

The whole draft is a lottery. He who picks first just gets to pick his favorite numbers to play.

Mr. Irrelevant (pick 224) is one of my favorite picks and I bet I'm not alone. For superstitious reasons I'd trade any 7th for pick 224 in some instances. Instead of getting to pick my favorite numbers I get my lottery ticket printed on the lucky paper end.
