Tobias Stanfield won't resign (though he's safely franchised) due to past injustices. Only thing that I can think of is his holdout in 2012 that he ended himself before the first pre-season game.
And 2nd year WLB Eric Rivas, who was programmed as the starter by me for about the last 7-9 games of the season, never actually started games due to nickel defense being on the field (I'm guessing) and now won't resign either. For chemistry purposes the game should really draw from your gameplan and not whether or not the player actually was in on the first play of the game.
