I agree with Jave. Looks like you sacrificed some wins in order for Singleton to get some easy runs when playing from behind. Seemed like even when you were down by two or more TDs, you were still running it a lot. Passing it more, even when the score was tied/close, would have earned you a couple more wins with the team you have.

        Congrats, though, on Singleton's record.

Its funny you guys think this is true. Yeah I ran when down, because it was a good option. Singleton was breaking off huge runs. And getting us back in games.
And QB Sanford did set the Tulsa single season record for pass attempts. Its not like all I did was give Singleton the ball. But Sanford completed less the 60% of his passes. What is better: An incomplete pass or a 10+ yard carry which Singleton had 83?

My offense ran through Singleton for a reason. My passing game isnt ready for primetime yet. Give me a TC and that will change. Plus, the cohesion on my line was over 90 most of the season.

I'm with Tarcone on this one. While I think the publicity Singelton got didn't help, he did set the record for yards per carry so I can't see how to really critique someone for giving him the ball so much.

FWIW - Singleton didn't make the top 12 for rushing attempts per season.

Tulsa had the third most runs and the third least passes of all teams in the league. I think that's pretty evident that he favored running the ball. Still, can't really blame him for giving him the ball. The guy was running monstrously. Just think he would have been a little more successful throwing it just a little more.
