The Toads defense loses CB Rodney Love for an undetermined (but probably a while) amount of time early on with a hamstring injury and we are still able to contain Jay Caro and the Seals. They still had their big plays, but we had our big stops as well and held them to under 300 yards passing. I am very happy about that. Also pretty happy that Ralph Given wasn't killed since the poor guy was sacked 4 times and knocked down another 9 times. I knew Portland would bring it and tried to do what I could for him blocking wise.

I am making the call right now, I just might have the best kick return game in the league. Wiggins has been great, but now CB Poole gets me a 93 yard kickoff return for a TD. That was huge.

My love affair with Leon Penberthy continues to grow as the guy has really become an important part of my offense. He doesn't get a ton of touches, but they are effective and usually come at key times. My rookie TE is making a good impression on me now as well doing well in his first start.

GG JMO, you brought the heat on defense and really made it tough for my passing game.

The Brik in Tulsa ties for 5th in highest single game receiving yards with 226. Crazy. 9 games before I play Tulsa, hopefully I have a healthy secondary including Rodney Love back.

Madison got a big win over the Mules on the road.

Texas gets another win. Not real impressive stats wise, but still a nice big score.

Cleveland thumped Vermont, I didn't see that one coming. And their kicker was Player of the Game with 6 FGs, tying the record held by several others.

Los Angeles again with the points. Standford in Tulsa and Jacobs in Los Angeles are the new young stars at QB it looks like, as long as they have their WRs.

Watch the Heroes/TigerHawk game if you like shootouts.

POTW Matt Sanford continues his breakout season. 18/32 for 390 yards and 5 TDs.

RB Singleton chips in with 89 yards on 17 carries.

WR Albriksten continues to shine. 7 catches for 226 yards and 1 TD.

Strange play calling in my run game. Sanford has an off guard run and an end around.

Defense. Well I wouldnt call it a defense exactly. The great teams of old all had cool nicknames for their defense. Mine is called "Swiss Cheese" because its full of holes.

Maybe a little early to start talking next week already, but it's a big game for me. I remembered losing to Dakota last year at home, but I just checked and I have lost to Dakota 3 of the last 4 years. That year without a loss I didn't play them. They have had my number and they will now have a healthy Devon Taylor. Doh!

Great bounceback game for Lansing. Hamilton returns to form with 4 TD's and 0 INT's. Jarvis goes over 100 yds with 3 TD's. Guthrie with over 100 yds all purpose (if only he could hold onto the ball). Most encouraging thing however was the morale boost from the D. We held McMurray down, keyed mostly by our pass rush. Alvin Wolfe (2.5 sacks, 5 hurries) is breaking out in his third year.

                    mang, I hate fumbles!!!
This whole game was predicated by fumbles and bad timing. We fumbled away this game, and hope to get this bus back on track. Chad Richardson isn't really giving me what I'd hoped for. I think that we could take this Wichita team if we played them again.
Thank goodness Lawrence lost also, and we don't lose any ground in the division. Burger is healthy and ready for Lansing next week.

You want a shootout, watch L.A. and Georgia. We even took that shit to overtime!

This offense is scary. I just have to accept the fact that I can't stop anyone so I have to score.

                            This week was devastating.
                            I lost.
All the teams whose draft pick I have won.
Vermont lost to knock me out of the Sui pool.
Norfolk won to erase the 1 game closer I got to them for all-time record last week.
C.J. Reeves, a 2nd year DT and personal favorite of mine, dropped 5 points in future and is now capped at 52.

And I just ran out of weed.

i forgot to set my "double top WR" setting to more than 15. fuck. i know my secondary is non-existent, but had i at least doubled the top WR more, in this case - Albriksten - i would've had a shot. all i needed to do was stop on them on 4th and 12 and that would've been the game.

it's official - Heroes are rebuilding. this is not going to be a pretty season, folks. we're getting a top 5 pick next year - fo sho. we got 2 1st round picks in each of the next 2 seasons, and 5 2nd rounders the next 2 seasons. those 7 players are gonna be the backbone of this franchise.
