Microsoft is coming out with a keen version of Go Fish. It's all the rage. By the way, my defense still fuckin sucks and I don't know why.

To be honest I don't have a problem with this.. I'm not buying it, but I don't have a problem with Jim doing this game.

As a developer, I can relate to Jim's feeling of wanting to do something different for a change. It's also a valuable experience starting a new project and encountering a few new problems rather than "the same old".. oftentimes, no matter how different two projects are, you can always pick up some new technique or trick to be used in both projects.

i understand wanting to branch out into other markets and put out a product that stands on its own with little need for updates, but i know as far as i'm concerned i don't play card games, and i'm even less likely to play card games on the PC. i didn't immediately shoot it down, but it's just not something i would pay $10 for. just like porn on the internet, there is too much you can get for free that i wouldn't ever consider paying for it. if i wanted to play a card game on the PC i would look for some freeware stuff.

i just don't think the same people who play card games are the same people interested in career stats (the selling point for his game vs. a free version). doesn't seem like he spent a ton of time developing the game, but i still would've liked whatever time he spent on the game to have gone towards an actual sports game. i don't need to repeat myself over at FOFC like some people are about how dissappointed they are that this game came out, it's just a shame we're gonna have to wait much longer for an actual game we're interested in to come out. to be honest though, i don't know how another game by Jim would do. i know i've completely lost my patience in his "this is my game, you figure out how to play it and what everything does" approach. FOF has been out for how many years and we're still learning stuff about it. some might think that's a positive thing, but i like the manual that games like OOTP come with. you know how everything works (or is supposed to work). this was a much longer post than i intended. i go now.

It's "Go Phish". But you're correct in that it's peachy keen.

            ditto

It seems that to do so would imply that I'm holding Jim responsible for future FOF's, which he's not.
