yeah I figured I'd give you game 1 and concentrate on game 2. I wouldn't be surprised if my second stringers could give you a game. If we don't start out at least 2-1 we could be in trouble by game 7.

Hugh LaBrosse is gone, so is Reilly.

Does the signing of a rookie contract invoke the AI? And if so, why did it drop me down to 53?

Don't know what to tell you, unfortunately. The same thing happened to dberner last year. For whatever reason, if you give the AI a chance to mess with your team (McDaniel gave you 47 active) in the 5th week of preseason, they'll go ahead and make cuts for you.

I hate this part of the pre-season.. cutting players is the worst thing I know, especially since most players cut are guys you either drafted or signed in late FA that you figured had something that their ratings didn't tell you, but their combines did.

A bit frustrated with the seasonal-rust logic, but I know it's the same for everyone. I gambled and only started Virgil twice, but the AI decided he only needed 15 minutes anyway, and now he's "significantly" rusty.

How is this a bug? If the game requires you to be down to 53 players, and he goes in with 57 the game would require you to cut down right? I am not disputing allowing RR to get his players back, I am actually asking if the rule is teams have to be down to 53 players by the start of regular season. If that is the rule, then this isn't a bug. Doing a quick roster check, every team in the league is now down to 53.
