I wonder if the game is calculating the agents "stubborn negotiator" correctly. Both my first round picks have turned down 5 separate contracts. I am asking the full 5 years, but offering max money as well.
Donavan's agent is listed as having "low(24) stubborn", and Parrish's agent is listed as having "very low(19) stubborn" yet they refuse to sign any deals. Interesting.

Anyone else's first round picks still holding out?

Give them the last contract option. They always accept that one. On first attempt, I always try to get a player to sign for the most years and money. If it fails, I try to get them to sign for the least years and most money, which they always accept. Getting a player in for training camp is paramount in the Beast organization.

I have found (in offline play, anyway) that some players simply will not accept the longer deal, period. some will only accept the shorter deal, and on top of that, the extra money version of the shorter deal. Ugh.

Just like the real NFL, some players view their early freedom as MUCH more lucrative than the extra year youre trying to secure them for.

Simply put: I'd abandon that extra year you're seeking.

ROFL, I was seriously thinking that, but with an agent that easy to deal with I am shocked they are refusing that contract.

The main problem I have with the 4 year deal is the bust factor. Isn't the 5th year key? Isn't that when they will bust if they are set to? Since they missed TC and most of the preseason, I suppose I will see if they sign by the regular season, and then give in.

I cannot believe that an agent with a "stubborn" factor of 18 will NOT back down. WOW
