I am glad that everyone is fine with the redone FAd4, I am quite PO'ed about the impact on the Mules and the fact that the negative impact will not be addressed in my case, whereas others were catered to promptly

Okay. Now. What I really think. Do what ya gotta do. I just wanted to tweak you back for your comment about me (and plenty of others) not paying attention when you had the voting. Im really not upset about the resim. Just thought it fair to overreact and have some fun.

Everyone should lighten up. Its a game. Have fun. Make the most of your new players and be thankful the resim took away some guy that will end up hurt if you are lucky.

I'm just going to make a few comments and then I'm going to be going on a sort of "ImperialFL vacation". I've been taking this league way too seriously lately and as a result I come down on myself way too hard when I make mistakes- you guys really have no idea.

It is my choice to make this league a part of my entertainment life. It is also my choice that I spend numerous hours each week enthralled in the league. With that being said, I love this league and I've said that many times. I'm a perfectionist by nature and I like to take things to the max. If there is anyone that is going to get "fucked" on a raw deal, god willing, let that person be me. I've been in too many leagues not to know that shit is going to happen. Now, I totally understand that shit is going to happen. And I'm somewhat hypocritical because I've been harsh in the past when I felt like someone had screwed me over.

I don't know how to prove to anyone that I will always - always - try and do the right thing. Last night's decision wasn't an easy one to make by any means. I dredded opening up the thread that Kcin had created because I knew that something had gone wrong. I quickly identified the problem, took the blame, and made a decision. I didn't ask for Cringer's help on this one and I don't think that I needed to. If Cringer has any quandries with my handling of this incident that's fine. If he and anyone else would like to revisit the problem and determine a new solution that's fine as well. Finally, if my role in this league needs to change that is fine as well. I don't know how many of you have possible issues with me being an assistant in this league. Maybe this is something that Cringer will have to get a feel for via a private poll, PMs, or whatever.

Chris, there is a private message sitting in my inbox and I'm pretty certain it's from you. I remain with the same stance that I did last night. Let me spell it out, not just for you, but for everyone.

So I've to be honest with you, man. I sympathize with you, but I don't really care. That's because I can't. Common sense tells me that you weren't the only owner that saw differing results come about between the two sims. What am I suppose to do? Re-sim until everything was exactly the same as it was. That's impossible, because there is a random element inside the game's AI that deals with whether a player decideds to sign with Team X or decides to stand pat. Were you ever made aware that, during the initial dispersal draft, Cringer goofed up Kcin's draft preference list? He grabbed three right tackles for the man within the first four picks. Kcin could've flipped out, but he didn't. And I think he did all right for himself.

I haven't come to any conclusions yet as to whether I'd like my role in this league to change. I'm not even sure if anyone else has any experience at running things from the helm. Either way, I'm going to be MIA for awhile except for corresponding with Cringer. Don't bother sending me PMs, because I won't be reading them. And I won't be reading yours, Chris. You've brought me back down to reality far enough for today.

This IS entertainment! There is no $$$ on the line. We all have nothing to lose. I think that we can all agree with that. I think that part of the qualities of a commish is the ability to make a decision. I'm glad a decision was made and we moved on.

So the message is lighten up and move on dude. Dont let the shit get to you. As I read the board it seemed like most of us understand your issue and the solution to resim. As they say, you cant make everybody happy all of the time. Your decision was sound. Your mistake was not intentional or with malice. It happens. We are humans not robots. Go out. Have some drinks. I would say find a chick but that will just result in lower self-esteem as they will all reject you. So have a drink or two. COme back tomorrow and continue moving forward and having some fun.

Final note--- Stepping up to help has its hazards. Ive been there as an asst helper/ asst commish in other leagues. Bottom line is that all leagues need guys to pitch in. Dont let this sour you on continuing to help. YOur mistake is no big deal. Better to have tried and failed than to have not tried.

Go into your export directory and move the export file somewhere else. . this should allow you to export again

I for one appreciate that someone, glad it ain't me, is willing to step up and keep things moving while Cringer is earning his $$$.

Lets be honest here the Mules stink and a lot of guys that would be camp fodder for other squads would be starting or quality depth on the Mules, explaining my activity in FA.

This is the first complaint I have had in the IFL and unless people poke me with a stick this will end it for me.

I, like all of you, am trying to get the best team available. That is why I am unhappy with the FAd4 resim.

I had a solution that I thought was fair, and with presidence in the IFL, but it was declined. While I also agree that your reasons were sound and that the original error, as such, was unintentional this sympathy for your position does not change the negative impact this had on the Mules. The error was made, my complaint was considered and dropped, and the IFL moves on. Notice the Mules submitted the FAd5 export again.

I am one who has preached that it is only a game and it is meant to be fun many times before, and I still believe that, but the Mules took it in the teeth on this one and there is no denying that.

Sovstar, take your break - I don't know how Cringer does it myself and I do appreciate your efforts. So my opinion would be to enjoy some RL stuff and come on back as the assistant, it is thankless but someone other than me has to do it. :P

You know I have yet to read all of those posts but for those that have a problem with the resim, imo you are out of line.

As Spock once said, the needs of the many, outweight the needs of the one.

Yeah, Kobeck it sucks that you lost alot of guys, but nearly everyone had guys signed for them that they didn't one, some to cap screwed deals. This was the right thing to do imo.

Secondly, Sovstar is doing the whole league and Cringer a HUGE FUCKING FAVOR and he is trying to make things right, not to mention he apologized profusely.

Did you lose alot of guys? Yes, probably more than most, but I had 1 guy end up signing with the resim, before I had several guys 2 of which I didn't want and didn't bid on, but regardless I am glad Sovstar cared enough to first admit his mistake, which could have happened to ANY OF US, and secondly, try to do the right thing, even if it was going to be an unpopular decision.

Those are my initial thoughts and mine alone.

Overreaction by me – defiantly and almost inexcusable on my part and I apologize to anyone offended. As of the end of this post I plan on this whole Fad4 resim becoming a non issue, well until Mitchell sacks Willoughby. :evil:

I probably have put in more time in the FA stages than most of yall, who can tell but at least an hour and sometimes two on each FA day. I was ecstatic when the Mules got DE Mitchell. Crowed about it a couple of times as this signing set up my draft, and basically finished FA up for the Mules. My original FAd5 had minimum no bonus camp fodder offers. With the resim FA became an issue for the Mules again as the main guy I was interested in was lost, maybe not permanently, but lost anyways.

I understand the other owners positions and I agree with the Fad4 resim.

My main point of complaint was that the Mules bore the brunt of the resim and then when a solution was proposed my concerns were not addressed, not ignored but not addressed either.

As I stated earlier unless I get poked with a stick it is on to FAd5 and the draft for the Mules.

Phantoms, if you are in more than one league or just left the game open... close the game and reopen it and then open the multiplayer and the imperial file, voila.

I am sorry for those you may have been screwed some, but it was you or someone else and not much could be done about that.

These things happen in ALL of the MP FOF leagues I have been in, some more then others ( :lol: ) and obviously we will try to not let this happen again but I unfortunetly there will be a problem from time to time, that is the nature of the beast.
