The Matadors are leaving Albuquerque and moving to Los Angeles this season, to play in a brand new stadium [that flipping sucks].

Ouch, my secondary takes a hit. COuld have been worse I suppose though. S Sanford Zamudio and CB Rochester (Mr. Nickel, Dime, and sometimes starter) retire. Those were key guys, but thankfully Zamudio's replacement was drafted last year.

I see Vermont's RB Sonnier went off into the sunset with his ring. And the injury and heart break of missing out of winning the Imperial Bowl forced Shawn Hernandez to retire. Sorry to see the original Toad go.

Another former/original Toad great retires, DT Frank Wideman in Anchorage.

John Ash is another great DT to retire in Reno.

Tulsa's linebacker group will get a makeover, with 3 guys retiring.Cordoba, Jean, and former original Toad Richie Currin.

Only ratings changes I see for the Toads are not real good. My O-line takes a bump down a little with G Sheffield dropping from 73/73 to 66/66, and RT Herndon drops from 63/63 to 62/62. Only other gu I see is LB Bell dropping from 68/68 to 65/65. Bummer.

Or from the glass-half-full perspective you could say that he did his part to get the team there through a very trying regular season to earn the ring he so desperately desired before riding off into the sunset.
