This might be common knowledge but in FOF 2007 this list seems to be way off, at least from the 2010 Phantoms perspective. My top need according to the list is ILB. I run a 4-3 and have "The Leash" backed up by Stevenson. It's possible (without doing the "leg work") that ILB is my smallest need.

Something is up with that. I looked at the roster strengths feature and it gave your backup a 0 at the ILB position, which is obviously wrong. I wonder if the game wants you to have 2 ILB starters and 2 OLB starters no matter what type of scheme you run."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins

Technically not currently. :twisted:Originally posted by MrBigglesworthThe game listed starting ILB as my third biggest need, even though I have Graybill.

My biggest need is also ILB. I have eric Jean who is rated 57/57 but in his 13th year. I have an unsigned rookie ar ILB that I just drafted. Maybe my needs will change after I sign him.IFL Champions-- 2016

I don't know about that one Jeff -- been single playing to try and game plan and it isn't consistent at all. I even switched to a 4-3 b/c of it

.....Originally posted by FOF Help FileWhen using the 34 defense, the weak-side outside linebacker is considered a rusher by default (as he generally lines up next to the weak-wide end and is often opposite a tackle), so you can not ask him to blitz."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins

The WLB only blitz automatically when in the 3-4, base defense.
So remember, you will use goalline, nickel and dime defenses rather often. You're lucky to play 50 percent of the game in your base defense, unless you do some serious tweaking to your gameplan.
But, I think eliminating the use of goalline, nickel and dime defenses could be catastrophic to the efficiency of your unit.Two-time IFL Champion (2014, 2015)

Maybe in 2007 that's the case --- I rarely ran anything but a 2 deep zone Pass coverage with a 3-4 front in 2004. I blitzed my SLB/WLB while keeping my SILB/WILB in place for pass defense and run support. By not double-teaming opposing WRs, I was able to finally bring my 3-4 Zone Blitz scheme to maturity
My SP testing of this same scheme has been a disaster. My WLB didn't blitz as often as I needed him to and cranking up the blitz to make it more prevalent just made the defense worse and worse
I guess I'm just bitching because I don't have the control I want on defense. Don't mind me 8)
