And about to get deeper as Clarence's younger brother Wally Stanton joins our crew after this upcoming pick!

you mean the guy that I passed up because I thought he sucked and picked up Nitschke instead?

seriously, though. Both looked good. Will be interesting to see which ones ends up being better.

      • Yes, I scouted both and agree they both looked good. I had Stanton a little higher on my board (perhaps only due to the "family connection" on my team) so it worked out good for both of us.

        • Earl Randle was the other player I had targeted, and he just went 2-7. Damn.

          • I had Earl Randle on the top of my board but in a spur of the moment decision went with Stanton. I was actually looking at Randle (when the draft class was released) at #11 overall but the negative "lil things" kept getting bigger in my eyes and in my paranoid state of not being familiar with FOF 2007's drafting system I'm thinking "safe, safe, safe" and even a single negative can turn me off at this point.

            • Randle at #11 would have been a reach in my humble opinion

                • Portland trades up to 1-26 and snags what could very well end up being a bust, a 36 future rated player. Ouch.

On the other hand, Hardings is a little lower in future potential than I had expected, but I'll still take it. I could end up being a very good QB if his combine scores mean anything. Also, we won't get an idea until after training camp which way he will develop.

Tulsa did get a good deal with Sanford.

Randle has a pre-training camp rating of 71, which is pretty good.

                    • I know this is early, and that we haven't signed these guys yet and yada yada yada.. but Crawford sits at 56/72 for me right now..

                      • also, it appears I may have hit the jackpot with Nitschke. He's rated 77 right now by my scout, and it shows he will increase to 79 after moving him to SILB. I know that the increase may not end up like that, but its nice to see. More than makes up for Harding's 66 rating.

I imagine he will look out of shape, considering that endurance rating of his.

Just kidding, he looks pretty good. I had him listed above Harding, actually, on my preference list.
