New Game Files and Instructions

City and nickname universe files <-- go into your universe folder

Pixelated 2007 logos <-- go into your pictures folder

2010 Beginning-of-season file <-- go into your leagues folder

2009 End-of-season file <--- Not necessary to download unless you are a fiend like "Rumor Mill"

Instructions to give to active members of your league:

* If they exist, place the league's frfoot.fni and frfoot.fcy files in the universe directory of your Front Office Football 2007 installation.

* Create a new league entry by selecting the Enter New Career function in your multi-player control window. Enter the exact league identifier, and select your team. If cities have been reassigned, they will not show up correctly in this window - select your team by nickname. The initial draft option does not matter here.

* You do not need to send the resulting file to the commissioner.

* Place the files sent by your commissioner in the leagues directory of your Front Office Football 2007 installation.

* Open the league in multi-player mode in Front Office Football 2007. You will be prompted for your team password. You should be good to go at this stage.

EXTRA NOTES:

- Our League ID is 'Imperial'

- If you are in other leagues or you want to keep your NFL setup (or whatever), you have to keep separate league stuff in separate folders. This was the case with FOF 2004 as well, so you should all know the drill here. If someone wants me to provide instructions for batch files I will provide them.

- You should not have to download the 2009 end-of-season file. I provided that in case someone wanted to see how ratings changed from 2009 to 2010.

You can't do squat until I give you your password. I will start doing that now - please be patient.

It would be a good idea to keep a text file on your hard drive (how about your 'My Documents' folder?) with your team password.

I get a city database error with these universe files. Other league universe files work fine.

I probably did something wrong because I'm drunk but I get the message:

"The city names database has been corrupted."

when trying to open FOF 2007.

I believe all I've done is downloaded the posted files (not the 2009 one) and unzipped to the directories you've suggested.

FGR files are for SP games only unless you are the commish. I may send one out if I decide to do color schemes for the whole league though.
