    TRIVIA BYTES - DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS

Unable to write an indepth preview but will start the thread for Sunday's games.

First, congrats to the four teams that exited last week ... Iowa City, St. Louis, Little Rock and Salt Lake City. All four of these teams had championship material to bring it home ... last week was just not their time in the sun.

Now to the elite eight. These teams will provide four oustanding matchups and to honor the running of the Indy 500, we will echo, by saying, "Gentlemen - start your engines".

    Norfolk at Portland
    Houston at Hartford
    Lansing at Lawrence
    Oakland at Pittsburgh

Four more teams will exit the dance and four hopefuls will advance ...
... devoted to the study of meaningless information ...
... and obviously with too much time on one\'s hands ...

Vipers export is now in vs. Portland ... I feel pretty good about the game ... but one never knows.

Houston and Hartford should be a blood bath .... can't wait to see the aftermath of that one.

Pitt and Oakland will be the classic offensive vs defensive game of the day.

Lawrence and Lansing is the intriguing match of the day ... will the Cinderella Orgres lose the slipper or will they provide the shock of the day?

Looking forward to this week's matchups. Topping it off for me will be my rival Lawrence's game. Looking forward to Lawrence taking home the trophy.

      Good luck to all.

Thanks for the encouragement but as stated in my other thread I'm not very confident in my gameplan. In the end I had to export something so I just said "eh, let's blindly roll these dice".

Bail me out players. BAIL ME OUT!!!

The bigger the stage, the less confident everyone gets. This is natural in a playoff game, because you're playing good teams every damn week AND in this league, with our gameplanning abilities, anything can happen.

You will do fine Jester. Take it home brother.

                        OK then.

I'm not big on predictions but here goes....

Lawrence WILL beat Lansing. I don't think this game will be close. I have a good feeling Lawrence will take it.

The rest of the games, I have no clue. They are all too close to call. Terrific matchups to say the least.

I love Hartford, but I'm not sure if Houston can lose with Booker healthy. I'm slightly leaning in favor of Hartford. However, they remind me of last year's Bulldogs and they got beat in their first playoff game.

Norfolk doesn't lose in the playoffs. With Lozier healthy, they may be unstoppable. Portland does have Jay Caro though. I like Norfolk a little here.

Oakland beat Pittsburgh this year, however I think Pittsburgh comes back and has a little revenge while making their first ever conference championship game.

I agree with your assessment. If betting, the only clear favorite is Lawrence.

Not to mention that I have won each of the last two games I played against Houston, I think we're due to lose.
