I freely admit to not being a great gameplanner. In fact in all my fof history I believe I have made exactly 1 good gameplan, against LR in the IFL title game, other than that i've coasted on talent.

Glad you said that and not me! I'd argue that r00k is one of the best gameplanners around. Look at what he has gotten out of the talent he has had. It is amazing to consider that he has won 3 titles with that squad.

The best way to figure out how good a gameplanner someone is, is to take a look at the roster strength in the game and compare that to the standings.

Tell me about it. Been there done that. Didn't even get a T-shirt.

What really hacks me off are the people at FOFC that say any game isn't really impacted by any tweaks you make because of the small sample size.

I'll agonize and agonize about my gameplan against Houston this weekend and it ultimately won't make any difference, we're going to lose.

that KO return/INT return pair combined for perhaps the greatest 2-play roller-coaster I've witnessed in the IFL. Insane!

Beamer had 215 yards rushing. . mathews was interception free with 2 TDs, Trigg had two INTs, one for a TD. . And I sitll lost by 7. . .good game rook

Who would have thunk Iowa CIty would be in a shoot out in the playoffs? I must have at least scared you for minute after two TDs in the last couple minutes. .

It is nice to know that my 2k4 Offensive gameplan skills have peaked just in tie to convert to 2k7. . Wish I could have gotten one playoff win, but now I have to pray that my team doesn't retire.

Just got to watch the game. I was totally losing it when I was down 14-0 in the first quarter. Then I had to survive the torrid 4th quarter where 28 points were put up on the board - 14 by each of us. Wow, time to take a breath.

Beamer set a playoff record, unfortunately I am on the bad side of that record. I just could not stop the run. I didn't do too well against the pass either. Thank God Finger was as hot as a firecracker for his first game back and it is great to have him back ... he totally changes the complexion of the Viper team.

It was great to play you ... and I hope 2k7 treats your roster gingerly. I don't think too many people realize how your team leads or almost leads the charts in all categories in team cohesion.

I've always believed that this team is a top tier team, but that my gameplanning technique brings it down to 2nd tier. I think I will begin to invest more time in 2k7 to better understand gameplanning. If I can match the time spent in the offseason in gameplanning, I think I can compete at the top tier with Suicane, Rook, and Jeff.

I always lose by a little, never a lot, expecially in the playoffs. I do wish that I had some competition in the division to force me to worry about gameplanning throughout the year. . instead of concentrating hard on it during the playoffs. But the simple plans I have in the division work. .. so why mess with them?

So Suicane, Rook, and Jeff get the top nods for gameplanning---do their teams have the most wins in the IFL over the past 9 seasons?

I've played those three 8 times in the last three years. . .I've seen you once. . if it makes you feel better, I'll add you to the list. . I wouldn't want Tart to cry. . .

Interestingly, Nelson is 5-0 in his career vs. Lawrence.

After looking at this a little more deeply it's surprising to see that he hasn't really done much, good or bad, during that streak as is evidenced by his 3-0 TD-INT ratio over the 5 games. While 3-0 is a good ratio, 3 TD's over 5 games usually isn't gonna get it done.

I'd gladly spot Nelson a TD in tomorrow's game if I could guarantee that would be all that he'd get.
