Week 15 Games Done (5/10/07)

You got me thinking. I actually made a midweek export myself. I offered Caro and a couple of others contracts. Well, I forgot about all that until now.

I didn't download the file Suicane made on Tuesday before I ran the games today. This isn't the first time this has happened. I remember this coming up in our first season - Jester probably remembers.

I apologize to anyone this affected. When this happens, I start to think about how there isn't much benefit to us having more than one simmer.

I don't believe this warrants a re-sim. It sucks for me to say that as I'm not totally impartial. Of course I have a team and of course I won. I just have to believe that a majority would not want that and go with it.

Ugh. It's been a bit of a rough season for me, hasn't it? Sort of been that way in real life as well...

Sounds more like just a faulty procedure. (not at all condescending in attitude) IMO simmer should grab latest file from a central place (on imperialfl.us) before simming. No?

I, as a relatively injury-free winner over my arch-rival, say we should to what we did last time (which I don't remember ) to stay consistent and adopt the procedure I mentioned above or some other solution.

How would that differ from what I've been doing?

The problem is that I think more like a GM sometimes. If the export wasn't crucial to me, ie I didn't have to replace an injured player, then it doesn't always click in my mind that I need to download the latest file.

If only I run the files, then I always have the latest league files. That's the case in every league that only has one simmer.

I wasn't aware of what you've been doing. I'll adjust, be a wise-ass, and say it sounds like you just need to stick to procedure and grab the updated files.

my last export didn't seem to take either, since i noticed some of my defensive adjustments i made for the Lynx for didn't seem to change.

certainly needs to be some tighter procedures i would think, like jester said, regarding how the simming is done. it's not the end of the world and at the end of the day i still won the game.
