To let you all in on a little secret, I am trying to convert the message board over to phpBB. I got the conversion zip from the phpBB site, the instructions looked ok, but turned out to be hard from step 1. Anyways, I had just about given up (which means we will be leaving this board and starting over a new board using phpBB) until today I found somethingthat said I did not need to do half the shit it says in the Readme for the conversion. So, all pumped up, I start trying to do it this slightly different way. Now I have come across another road block, and have sent for info/help from my host support because I can not seem to create a fucking database in MySQL?!?!
This has pissed me off, at this point I can not even install phpBB by itself, let alone convert. I had phpBB installed already and for some reason it was not working anymore. If I can get phpBB installed, I think I might actually be able to get this conversion done. I have been working on this off and on for atleast a fucking month and either way this shit is getting done. New board or converted board.
**So you know, I want to go over to phpBB because we will be able to do some good things with it. Mainly inserting HTML into posts and shit like that. Making for some nice posts to go with the awards, reporter pick'em posts, and some other stuff. I don't want to lose the history we have here, but this board kind of sucks because it's old and I can not just upgrade it to the latest version because Invision now charges for their boards and I don't have that kind of money floating around.
Anyways, just needed to vent. Like this....FUCK!!!!!!!FUCK!!!!!!!!!!FUCK!!!!!!!!!!
