  • Free Agency ?s

Well after the heartbreaking end to my season there is nothing else to do other than to look to the offseason!

Some quick ?s on free agency.

How are RFA's handled? How does that process work? Can everyone bid on them and the team that they are on just has matching rights? Is their any compensation that has to be given?

You can franchise a RFA correct. Sorry everyone but WR Daniel Williams will not be hitting the market unless you want to give up two first rders. (if someone bids on a franchised player they owe you two first rd picks correct if you dont match?)

RFAs - You will have exlusive negotiating rights with these players up until training camp. No one else will be able to offer contracts to these players. After training camp, they will become Unrestricted FAs and no compensation will be necessary.

Franchise Tag - Yes, you can Franchise a RFA. No one else can bid on Franchised players. In addition, you can negotiate a long-term deal with these players and may also trade them.

so RFA's are pretty much unavailable to all other teams as long as you get them signed before training camp? Can I offer them offers throughout free agency?

thanks, was just making sure, Road Rash's Free Agent preview had me worried there as he has RFA's included..... Free Agency is going to be crazy. So unpredictable. The TAGS will definetely delete the talent pool big time so I know I am going to have to find some good pieces to fit my team, although I would love one of the db's that are out there
