My grumbles have nothing to do with the fact that Lawrence played well and earned it.

I didn't notice that Trojans wideout Glenn Bess was put on IR last week (ACL Knee Surgery). That sucks.

The Whales shouldn't have a 26/37 rush/pass ratio. Especially when they're leading throughout the game. And my corners are still blitzing. It's just ridiculous. But anyway, I haven't watched the log yet...

Did anyone think that Tulsa would be 5-1? Or the SLC would be 4-1 with wins over 3 first place teams at the time they played them?

The only corner on your team I see blitzing is Grigsby. He's your nickel back, correct? What is your blitz percentage for WLB, which would also control how your nickel back blitzes?

We're leading in the fourth quarter, 20-7. My game plan is almost ALL RUN for that situation. And here's what happens:

              Code:
1-10-VAN27 (13:35) VAN 17 Colella pass completed to 44 Dean for 6 yards.
                 Tackled by LAW 56 Wing.
                 Penalty: LAW - Illegal Contact.
                 --
1-10-VAN32 (13:27) VAN 17 Colella pass fell incomplete, intended for 39 Connell.
LAW 99 Peacock hurried the quarterback into a bad throw.

2-10-VAN32 (13:18) VAN 17 Colella pass completed to 87 Strong for 10 yards (OOB).
                 Tackled by LAW 42 Peavy.
                 --
1-10-VAN42 (12:49) VAN 17 Colella sacked by LAW 95 Ortiz and LAW 76 Clark for a loss of 10 yards.
Sack allowed by VAN 76 Reed.

2-20-VAN32 (12:09) VAN 17 Colella pass completed to 44 Dean for 10 yards.
                 Tackled by LAW 20 Stanton.

3-10-VAN42 (11:25) VAN 17 Colella pass was dropped by 39 Connell.

                 4-10-VAN42 (11:17) VAN 16 Poore punted 49 yards from the VAN42.
LAW 29 Fredrickson returned the ball 3 yards to the LAW12. Tackled by VAN 39 Connell.
              Now, explain that to me.

Remember not to take any single game as a determination of things. Everything is ultimately decided by die rolls and if you had some that skewed towards passing, you would pass more than you wanted to. Just some food for thought.

Food for thought: My 1-10 setting for a 4th Quarter lead is 100. There's two passes on consecutive 1-10's. My 2-10 is 76, my 2-11+ is 66.

Disconnect. I'll say no more about it. Except this: We should have been running. I did all I could to set that to run. And we didn't run ONCE.

And we lost as they scored 17 points in the 4th.

shootout in madison. another 'almost had it' game for lansing. nelson puts up 426 yards in the overtime loss. of course his only mistake is the pick in ot that gets returned 69 yards for the winning score.

i need some serious D game planning advice...whatever i do SUCKS, and whatever the computer reccommends SUCKS.

And Zack Brown has 'excellent' for both playcalling settings.

Your normal gameplan would take precedent when you have a 13 point lead with that much time left in the 4th UNLESS you changed the time settings and/or the point settings.

Well, it's 8 points not 13, but it's also 8 minutes to go - I did change the setting, so that helps explain it. Still frustrating. I was just a little shocked by that series. And why Grisby was again blitzing against stansfield... Twice. With a cornerback blitz setting of 0.0. Frustrating. I'm not used to this. Doesn't usually happen to me.

Sorry for bitching. Again, Lawrence played well enough to win in the fourth quarter anyway, so that's the important thing, and I congratulate them.

Did you see my post about the blitzing? Nickel backs will blitz like the WLB. That's something I've bitched about over at FOFC and will hopefully be resolved in the next version.

Bingo. Again. That would explain it. Feel better now.

Still hate losing like that. We were so kicking ass.
