And you were wondering why I'm offering a cornicopia grab bag of picks to get into the top 10.

I did pare it down a little. The first two options would have left me with no picks at all. And it still would have been a fair deal, but I like drafting too much to give them all up...

Still concidering it. Will even throw in some futures.

I have guys taking paycuts. I'm not sure that's good, either. I shouldn't look a gift whale in the mouth.

A bunch of the best players, including 3 of the top 4 WR's, don't have college stats. What's up with that?

I was hoping I could say "Oh these guys were great, just suspended."

              But I can't really.

WR Clarence Bly - rated 32/68. Played every game almost every year, but never started one. Went his last two season without a catch even, despite being in 24 games.

WR Jamie Williams - rated 47/76. Like Bly, he went to Michigan. He was used a little more though. 46 games played, 26 catches for 536 yards and 5 TDs, mostly his soph. and jr. years.

Both these guys seem to have been put to the side this last year by Michigan for a couple of younger players. Most notably are sophomore WR Antoine Frase who looks to be an up and comer, rated 53/89 already and started 10 games. And Irving Buerfeind, a junior who is rated 48/86 and was the clear #3 WR.

WR Patrick Harding - as you see, he does have stats. He was the #1 WR for Michigan, who didn't pass much anyways.

WR Doug Clemmens - This was a guy who was clearly screwed over by the Florida State coaching staff (aka, TCY AI). He was rated 38/92 as a senior. He should have been used early in his career and he would have become great probably. Florida State doesn't even have any real decent WRs so it pisses me off that TCY screws guys over like this instead of developing them. The guy played 24 games in four years, and never started. Never had a catch even.

Other top prospects with no college stats (remember, FOF lists only their stats from their last year)

RB Charles Bell - suspended, on academic probation, as I think the Prospect Watch says about him. Rated 77/77 in TCY. He didn't get to start until his junior year. He had 8 games that year, 70 carries for 526 yards with 4 TDs. A 7.5 ypc. Not bad really.

RB CJ Rambo - academic probation. In '06 he had 1200 yards even, a 4.5 ypc, and 13 TDs.

G Andy Kelso - academic probation. Started every year prion to '07, even as a freshman. 38 games, 88 KRB in 269 KRO. 18 sacks allowed over those 3 years. He is worth the FOF rating he has.

G Skip Browning - same thing, academic probation. Started his 3 previous seasons though. 36 games, 112-302 on KRBs, 8 sacks given up.

DE Marshall Brummit - academic probation. 3 year starter before '07. 36 games, 125 tackles, 56 assists, 35.5 sacks, 60 TFL, 15 Blkd, 73 hurries. The real deal here I would say.

DT Toby Torres - Was suspended after 2 games this year. He was a bad boy I guess. 43 tackles as a junior.

DT Earl Hood - Played 4 games in '07, then went out for the rest of the year for Elbow Ligament Surgery. Career...19 starts, 87 tackles, 35 assists, 47 TFL, 21.5 sacks, 5 blkd, 27 hurries.

DT Marshall White - suspended, another bad boy I guess. (suspended is different then academic probation, just to clarify) He was redshirted as a freshman. As a sophomore he played in 12 games, started 2, had 11 tackles with 9 assists and 1 sack. He could have stayed in school for 2 more years but I guess the suspension ting pissed him off. Has talent, but raw as far as TCY goes.

ILB Ty Fryar - one of those things that happens when the guys go from TCY to FOF that one day I hope is fixed. Ty Fryar was decent enough in college, but Julio Keating and Victor Wynn were much better at that level so he got little time on the field. I wish Keating was actually the higher rated player in FOF.

OLB RJ Kley - Great player, but after 6 games in '07 he tore a knee ligament. 29 career starts for 110 tackles and 50 assists.

That covers the main guys I think. Anyone wants any more info on someone, just ask me.

Nice!! It looks like we got a draft class with a lot of character flaws.
