Speaking of records, I just noticed that this season's points per game allowed number of 20.1 is Oakland's franchise-best. Ole.

Just noticed how great LRK's DE's were. Despite only 3.5 sacks Shawn Hernandez racked up 32 hurries and had a nice pr% of 11.8. Compare this to the other side of the line with Karl Cronin who had 13 sacks and 42 hurries

Yeah, Hernandez must have lost the extra burst to get to the QB or something. Got pressure on guys but couldn't seal the deal much. He made them scramble to Cronin's side so he got the sacks I guess..

Good game VooDoo, I knew the game was over when your passing game finally started working at the end of the half. FWIW this is the first time the Mules have been shut out since the infamous 0-6 game at Dakota in 2004. Damn VooDoo! 8)

Got 14 draft picks in 2008 and I could probably use more. I am hoping the Mules can leap into the middle of the IFL in 2008, that is the plan anyhow.

As far as season goals I have to say the Mules are not picking 1st overall and the win total was 2 over last season so yeah. Will not appologize for a couple of the Ws comming because of the +11 TO ratio either.

Well the 20m dead money season is over and next year begins with 15m in dead money, but hopefully the talent level will continue to go up.

Pittsburgh ended up with a franchise best 16.3 pts allowed, first in the NFC, helped out a lot by giving up a total of 6 pts in games against Oakland and Fresno.

Good game ALB! Rested my starters because I knew I was due an out injury aka mickey benton. Still we held our own the first half faded in the 2nd half at least my b squad doesn't have to play again. Good luck in your 1st round matchup...NOT! :lol:

What a big win in Lansing for the Demons. Kinda strange we end up as the #2 seed in the NC, if we would have lost we would have missed the playoffs altogether.

Was real nice to stop Mr. Biggs division dominance as Pitt was shooting for their 3rd North title in a row.

Also, 2 NC North teams make the playoffs for the first time in since the 2003 season.

Not a bad turnaround this season for the Demons, we finished last in the division last season and now we are the #2 seed. In the beginning of the season we were picked 29th in the power rankings and picked to finish last in the division.

I can take solace that we were very close to being 11-5, as there were several games we were very close to winning, or should have won. Plus, we are still in rebuilding mode, but we have made huge strides in the past two years turning over the roster, while remaining competitive.

Our 8-8 record was compiled with one of the worst (if not THE worst) turnover ratio in the league, if we could have been close to half that we would be one of the better teams in the league. We finally got a WR to lead our team in TD receptions. Our offense was much more dynamic, even though it might not show up in the stats, we had many more plays of 20+ yards this year than we had in previous years.

In the passing game, Jim Hickman set a team record for TD passes in a season. Our completion percentage was down, but with the downfield element added, I was comfortable with this. We have two good young WRs that should start for us the next couple of years, but we are still one stud away from being very dangerous in this department.

Our running game was one of the league's best yet again. Stanley Jamison had a stellar year, and Martin Baker was a very capable sub. Lost in the shuffle was William Dostie who had a subpar year, but was still a significant contributor.

The defense was a rock again this year. We allowed under 17 points per game, which was an improvement upon last year's squad even though we struggle with injuries throughout the year. Two big questions remain entering next year, will Cleeland return at close to full strength, and will Brown return for one more year.

We have no extreme positions of need next year, but we could use help/upgrades at #2CB, WR, QB, and NT.

Now that I have more time to respond, congrats to Madison for winning the division (though they did pull a couple of games out of their ass there at the end ). I always figured that that missed FG as time expired in week 1 would come back to haunt us.

As for this week against Dakota, we outgained them 400-238 and almost, and really should have, lost. 2 turnovers and a blocked punt in regulation led to 13 of Dakota's 16 pts, and we couldn't get a turnover until OT, which ended up being the deciding play.

Couple of stats from the Pitt season:

- Led the league in sacks with 41

- Finished 7-1 at home...guess that turf is good to us, we shouldn't be so quick to say goodbye next season!

- Set a team record for pts allowed with 16.3

- Set a team record for rush attempts with 33.0 /game (do certain coaches have tendencies? I was set up this past week to pass the ball much more than run it, and ended up running the ball 39 times to 26 passes)

- Players setting team records: Mann (QB rating, completions, yards), Rodrigez (attempts), Hazzard (sacks), Spotwood (FG's)

- This is the first season since I've been here where we haven't lost a starting OL for his career due to injury

Also, I'd like to give props to my OL. I almost had 3 guys break 40 KRB's. Obviously, I run a lot and these guys get the opportunities, but still an impressive feat

I wish you luck in the playoffs, even though you're one of the few teams my lowly Stallions beat this year :twisted:
