Albuquerque (9-3) AT Dakota (5-7)
The Matadors are a game behind Anchorage in the AFC West and merely need to stay within a game going into their week 17 matchup with the Lynxx for the showdown to be for the division title. For the 2nd year in a row these 2 teams are fighting neck and neck, and maybe wearing each other out before the big dance even begins. Dakota meanwhile sits 2 games out in the NFC North and need win here at home to keep playoff hopes alive.
Boston (3-8-1) AT Lawrence (7-5)
Boston has struggled this season but they have been laying the groundwork for the future and playing in some tight games.
Lawrence is in a dogfight with the entire NFC East and every game for them is vital at this point.
Lansing (5-6-1) AT Anchorage (10-2)
The Ogres travel to Anchorage needing a win to maintain whatever playoff hopes they have while the Lynxx are holding off the Matadors, this is gonna be a fun game.
Little Rock (9-3) AT Houston (4-8 )
Just win baby, thats all the Toads do, they travel to a down Houston team this weekend with hopes of extending a 1 game lead over Texas in the NFC South while Houston struggles to keep its dwindling playoff hopes alive.
Murfreesboro (4-8 ) AT Columbia (7-5)
Murfreesboro takes the field for the first time since Otis Peterson blew out his knee. They do it in Columbia where the Fire are fighting for their playoff lives and may be focusing on a wild card spot instead of the Division title at this point.
Oakland (5-7) AT Montreal (5-7)
A Battle of 2 teams who have underwhelmed this season. But unlike the Firebirds, the Assassains have a division title in view and need to step things up and assert themselves down the stretch.
Orlando (6-6) AT Hartford (7-5)
2 teams fighting with all they have. Hartford has had a good season but still sit 3 games out in the division and 2 games out of the wild card. Orlando meanwhile sits only 1 game out of the NFC East and a win here would be a big boost for the Pirates.
Pittsburgh (7-5) AT Fresno (4-8 )
Pittsburgh finds themselves in another NFC North battle to the wire as they are tied with Madison right now for the division lead in attempt at 3 straight division crowns. Fresno meanwhile has struggled mightily in the 2nd half with it's leadership in utter disaray.
Portland (6-6) AT Madison (7-5)
Portland has impressed this season in a tough division and should provide an excellent opponent for Madison as the Demons come to town in a dogfight with the Power for 1st in the NFC North.
Reno (6-6) AT Iowa City (9-3)
After an impressive start, Reno has lost 5 of 6 and has a tenuous at best grip on the NFC West while Iowa City has rebounded from a dissasterous 2006 season to challenge Cleveland for the NFC North crown. Should be a heck of a game.
Salt Lake City (4-8 ) AT Cleveland (9-3)
The Stallions are suffering from their worst season ever but they still are dangerous with Tart and Booker at the helm. Cleveland meanwhile plays a ground and pound style that they have ridden to a 9-3 record and 1st place in the AFC North. This should be another fun matchup.
St. Louis (6-6) AT Texas (8-4)
The HellRiders have taken to the air and brought in their best season ever but still trail Little Rock by a game in the NFC South. The Cardinals have rebounded from a horrid start to take control of the AFC South but will a tough road to hoe in trying to stop the aerial attack of the HellRiders.
Tulsa (4-8 ) AT Louisiana (3-9)
2 teams in a rough way meet up in Louisiana today. The Cows and Voodoo have strugled this season but both teams will bring their A games on Sunday.
Vancouver (5-7) AT Wichita (4-8 )
The Whales while 2 games under .500 still have a legitimate shot at the NFC West title but even though Wichita is having a rough season, im sure nothing would make them happier than hampering Vancouvers playoff chances.
Vermont (5-6-1) AT Norfolk (10-2)
The Mountaineers have struggled mightily this season. Pre season this looked like it would be a classic matchup, now Vermont
is simply trying to stay in the NFC East hunt, a tough game against the perenial topflight Vipers is not something I think they are looking forward to.
West Virginia (0-11-1) AT Newark (7-5)
The Bulldogs are in a dogfight for the NFC East title and nothing could look finer than the lowly Beasts coming to town. But West Virginia will be playing for all they're worth in the last few weeks to avoid the first winless season in IFL history.
