Player Nicknames

I know some guys like togive players nicknames, and some guys want these IN THE GAME itself.

To avoid some owners from giving nicknames to half their team, or me spending a year adding in these names, there will be a limit.

Each team is allowed to have a nickname added to 1 player between now and the next offseason.

Each conference champion will be allowed to have 2 if they want.

The Owner of the Year will be given an extra one also.

This is the rule for this season/coming season. It could be changed after next season for some unforseen reason.

AND! These are nicknames, they will be ADDED to the players name. The players first name will not be changed, sorry if you don't like a guys name, but I don't really like my real life name and I haven't even changed that. This may seem dumb to some of you, but I do not really want to see nicknames only as a players first name.

And last but not least, I have the right to not put a nickname in for any reason. I would really only do this if it's something racist (this would piss me off if anyone evens asks for something like this) or just does not seem like it would fly with other owners. I don't see any reason why I would have to do this though, I hope.

I know you dont want things to get out of hand, but might I suggest allowing the owner of the Offensive and Defensive players of the year to give those guys nicknames to?

My team has underachieved all season and thus not a one of the players deserve a nickname. :angry:

Actually, I'd like one for Edmund Peacock but every time I try to think of one I get caught up in wondering which is a worse name, Edmund or Peacock. haha


I was tempted to call my QB Tobias "Beecher" Stanfield (after the character on HBO's "Oz" series) because he sucks and always coughs it up but hopefully he rebounds next season and I don't want him to carry it all the way through.

I really want to use my nickname for Kendall "Shakes" Irwin and his season long severe anxiety, but I don't think "Shakes" will be a cornerstone of the D so I will use my nickname in a mundane way with Andrew "Zoomie" Monroe.

"Toast" has always been a personal favorite of mine, not that i have any DBs worthy of such a name

RendeR, Jerry 'The Saint' StClair had to be cut down to just Jerry 'Saint' StClair.

Added to this rule, the first name and the nickname cannot exceed 12 characters in length, including spaces.

ex.

Jerry "The Saint" Stclair = Jerry (5 char) + The Saint (9 char) = 14 characters = won't work
