Ok, I am going to be the A-hole that brings this up, and if I am the only one who feels this way, let me know that to, and I will STFU.
I was thinking of a way next season we could speed this up a bit. For me at least, this is going really slow. If Cring runs the game on Sunday, and he goes to work Mon or Tues, he could leave his file before he goes, and Sov could run a game on Wed. Cring gets home Sat, has plenty of time(in theory) to review the last game, and get his file in for Sundays game. This would cut the down time in half for the league, and the bottom tier of the league, doesn't have to endure 3 months real time suffering through a season of no hope. I don't see any negatives really in this idea. Remember, the other IFL started one game a week, and then bumped it to Sun, Wed games and didn't miss a beat. I feel this would really benefit the league.

    What ya all think?

You're not being an asshole. Better to get this out of the way or at least discuss it if it's on your mind or anyone else's. Now I can't speak for Cringer, I can only share my own thoughts. That said..

I like 1 game each week and I hope we always stick with the status quo. I plan on being part of this league for a longggg time and while I have way too much free time on my hands currently, it's not always going to be that way. The beauty of this league is that it can serve different purposes. It can play the role as a nice compliment to another (and maybe faster) MP FOF league or it can provide the perfect atmosphere for those that don't always have the time to come up with four exports a week.

The pace we're moving at also allows guys (including Cringer) to post articles and features each week. I definitely plan on starting some kind of writing on my own and have my doubts that I'd ever get to it if we moved at a quicker pace.

I know some would like to see us move a bit faster, but this is what we signed up for - a "weekend" league. When I end up going back to school next semester (and thus resuming some semblance of a normal life), getting that part-time job, and hooking up with some fine-ass chick, I would still like to be able to dedicate a few hours of my week to this league and not feel lost in the speed of the league.

All that said I'd still be down for a two-game crunch each season, but only if Cringer is down with it and it fits his and everyone elses' schedules.

I agree with both of you. I'd like to see 2 game weeks maybe 2 or 3 times a season but a regular 2 game a week schedule might take away some of the aura of the league.
      I luv British womenz.

I was a charter member of HFL, a league using historic players starting in 1970, and I dropped the Buccaneers because I found the twice a week pace to fast to devote my time to. The game a week, with the odd scheduling fluke, is perfect for allowing the owners flexibility to get their stage files in. I try to get to the IFL asap, but I like being able to put it on the backburner when I have too.

          Keep it once a week

Yeah, I'm in the HFL too and it is a totaly different feel. My team is need of alot of rebuilding so I don't mind the speed of it as I'm 2-3 years away from contending. But the immersion their is no where near as deep as it is here because the time is just not available.

I like one game a week, with the occasional 2 game weeks(1or 2 during a season). I also would like to bring up the idea to speed up the playoffs to 2 games during the week as a suggestion. With most of the league no longer involved, becoming not involved may lose some owners. I don't konw........just a thought

Prefer and enjoy the one game of week format ... and would like it to maintain this format.

No, you aren't the only one who feels this way. At times I love the pace of the imperial league, but every so often, I yearn for a faster pace.

Still, I wish we could do that double weekend 3 times a season, or once a month, that would rock imo.

Btw, thanks Sovstar for the image you created for me. It rocks!

I gotta agree with the one game per week. That said, half of the time I am going nuts half way through the week cause I want to see what is going to happen.

For me, come Monday, things are going to be hectic around here with the new baby and all, so I may think one game a week may even be a bit much!

I like the idea of one game a week with the odd two game a week known in advance schedule.

I've felt both ways during this season (1. wanting a faster pace and 2. enjoying the current pace) and experiencing both I think the drawback of itching to play another game is less than the drawback of missing a game and/or putting half-assed gameplans together therefore I vote to stay with the current one game per week method.

Well, it seems most are content to stay at one game a week. Thanks for everyone who responded, btw, I only hope you to can enjoy what is a 1-15 season, at one...game....a...week!. Don't come crying to me when you are bored stiff at 0-6

                          The Mules started 0-5.

I think the owners who are here understand and appreciate the pace. Just gotta enjoy other things when the team is losing. In the NFL I am a Titan fan so I am enjoying beer a lot cause they are 0-3 at home. <_<

                            Ok, my response.

Jave, your an asshole, but you were one long before this so don't worry about it. Kidding kidding, lighten up...............dickhead.

Ok, real response. No go, not a chance. No offense, but it is just not something I would consider. I understand the desire to want this, and I expect you will not be the last to do so, but it is not what is best for the league. If we did something ike what you proposed, then we would actually reduce the involvement of many owners I think. roadrash would not be able to get Power Rankings out that fast, and would probably hate it if he tried. The website would only get updated every other "week." And as you have read, several owners are in this league BECAUSE it is slow. I started this league TO BE slow, and it will stay that way.

Now, there has been several guys saying that they would like to see the "2 game crunch" 2 or so times a season. I had not made any decisions about this coming season, and if we would do this or not. But since several guys seem to be for it then I think we can kind of plan for this. I do not want to do it more then twice in a season though. Now, maybe to use this to help address the issue Jave had. Maybe we will put the 2 game weekends in the second half of the season for guys who may be losers like me.... Say weeks 10 & 11, and then weeks 14 & 15, or something, it doesn't need to be decided right now.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

One game per week is the best way. That's why I joined this league and that's why I will stay for a long time.
