  • Name Changes

I didn't see a rule about rookie name changes. Some leagues allow them before training camp. I like to do it in SP because it helps me keep track of a players career, especially after they leave my team.

Is there a policy for that here? I don't choose bizarre or cheesy names and try to make them as realistic as possible.

And I would like to name my 7th rounder Justin Shipman.

Only if you can sign him cheap.

No, no name changes except a few minor spelling corrections that have been done in the past and the addition of nicknames to some players.

      Sorry.

We take draftees from a TCY Universe, so there is a history of performance, stats, and even write-ups of the player's college career. Considering that, I think it messes with the immersion of the league to change their names when they are drafted.

This was decided when Suicane made it known he would change his whole team into a bunch of wrestlers from the 70's and early 80's.

I had a feeling there was. Well more than a feeling since you don't get those minimal stats (I don't think) without the TCY file. Is there a site set up for the TCY universe? Who owns it?

Oh, and not being able to change names is not a huge deal. Just curious.

The TCY pages I have up are pretty old, a couple of seasons ago. The last two seasons my computer problems and time problems have kept me from keeping it going klike I did before.

At he end of each of the last two seasons though, I have made available the TCY files. I zip up the universe files at he end of the season and guys can look at it for stats and standings and what not.

I would llike get back to doing the college section every week like I did before but I can't commit to that just yet.

Better make sure he is from Washington State, prefferably Blaine, so he can be close to his family. Otherwise he is sure to do something stupid and get himself banned from the IFL - I say bar fight violating the IFLs strict non-violence policy.
