I've said it before, but I'll say it again for any newbies..
When changing positions, the only thing worth paying attention to is the dialog box and the information that the box gives you. Forcing changes to see what the guys' ratings will look like will not help you whatsoever. Those ratings are NOT what you will see in the end.

No need to be embarrassed as I've seen it a number of times. In this case your guy wasn't affected at all. A guy on my team though, FB Alicea, can't say the same. He had his position changed from FB to RB (later back to FB) and his ratings flopped. The previous owner thought it was a good change since his ratings looked fine after making the switch in the game.
