  • Week 10 discussion.

I am heading to sleep. I haven't slept in a very long time, so hard to say how bad I crash once I actually get to lay down here in 30 minutes or so.

So expect the games to be run late. I hope to be up in time for the NFL games so hopefully I will have them done by noon. No promises though.

Sorry guys, but it's New Years, so lick my testes. :P

At 1-7 we dont really care when you run them, but do we have to lick your testes?

If I lick your testes can you sim me a win?

I'm up. Nothing like missing the start of what could be Favre's last game. :x

Remember when Orlando would win the close game with a last second field goal? The fat lady has sung. 5 of our 8 losses are by a TD or less. 2 of those were in OT and one in the final 2 minutes. I need a coach.

I can't stomach watching these games on FoF viewer any longer. Not because my team does poorly, but because what I watch. My backup running back getting more carries than my main RB (even before the score started to blow out) without telling me why. Goign for a fake punt on like 4th and 15 at the 50 yard line.. what kind of stupid logic is that?

Sorry for the vent, it was a big win for LOU, pretty much sealed my season.

I just finished looking through the box score and log. I am not sure about 'good' game but I will take the win. I got a little lucky.

You went to stop the run, with Given injured, and it worked. Starting Given was a hard choice but I went ahead anyways with his playing time at 2. I still don't really like when peabody came in at QB but no biggie. Back to the running though, you did good stopping it. What helped me though was catching you defense in run defense. Kennedy turned a 12 yard catch into a 74 yard TD against aggresive run D.

What really did it for me though was my defensive line. They put a lot of pressure on Cartagena. Sacks and staying in his face made it hard for him.

The blocked punt returned for a TD was the deciding points though. :?

Puh.. Virge comes through again in the last quarter, but above all the Vermont defense did their job in the second half. Felt as if the "The defense looked very familiar with that play" came up every time Newark tried handing the ball to Crespo in the second half.

Greiner with 9 tackles, but rookie Mackowski had a big game too. 6 tackles and 4 assists.

Ostrowski got to be the go-to guy for Virge... Brown never even got a sniff at the ball (double-teamed?)

Newark defense started hot hot hot though. I was very worried going in to half time, and I was lucky there weren't more Newark points on the board by then.

I think the play of the game was near the middle of the 4th qtr where Sonnier busted the 85yd punt return.

                              Then this

                              Code:
                              &Offense: Single-Back Formation, Normal, Strength = Right.

&Defense: 43 Alignment, Nickel Personnel, 3-Deep Zone, Pass - Normal.

3-10-VER37 (02:39) NWK 23 Crespo ran inside the left guard for 12 yards.

Tackled by VER 57 Greiner, assisted by VER 54 Olivarez.

Key block delivered by NWK 67 Currie.

                              Penalty: NWK - Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

Crespo takes it to the 25yd line with 2mins to go and down by 3. Looks like he got a little excited.
This puts us back to the 40 yard line.

3 plays and 1 yard later

                              Code:
                              &Offense: Field Goal Formation.

4-09-VER39 (01:40) NWK 10 Croft attempted a 56 yard field goal and missed wide to the left.
Damn, what a way to lose. I thought we controlled the game, holding Virgil to 11 for 25 passing.

You're right about your defense, knowing what the hell we were doing. Good game nonetheless. Thank god for the bye week. We should get healthy for our 2nd half run at a playoff spot.....I hope.
