It's amazing, after my big slide, it still looks like I only need to win one more game to wrap up a playoff spot. In the AFC there are several teams vying for wildcard spots:
1) Hartford - They have already beaten Norfolk once, and have the best conference and divisional records of any wildcard contender. Win two and they are the 5th seed, win one and they sneak in as the 6th seed. Lose both, get lots of help.
2) Norfolk - They are tied with Hartford with an 8-6 record. Win two, or win one and hope for Albuquerque losses, they're in.
Interesting tidbit, the important games for these teams is this week, as they play each other in week 17 of the season.
3) Albuquerque is in good shape, if they win two they are in. If they lose this week, things get interesting. If Norfolk wins two games they are out. If Hartford wins one they are out (due to better conference record.) However, they do control their own destiny.
4 and 5) St. Louis and Louisiana - If both win two games, St. Louis takes the division, and the other must hope that they tie with either Albuquerque or Hartford, both of whom they beat during the season. If the tie break is against Norfolk, they are out.
Other possibilities will make my head hurt!
