  • Question?

I know that if you put someone on IR and they are healthy you can cut them. But does anyone know if that person can be traded?

    Thanks for your time...

I'm not sure of the answer but I believe if you check the trade screen in-game and can see the player than he can be traded, otherwise not. I know rookies don't show up on the trade screen until they've been signed to the team.

I just attempted to do it in one player mode and the player shows up in the trade screen but the PC responds "won't trade for damaged goods" even when I stack my side with stud players and one injured player on IR (probably with depression so won't be lingering injury) and only ask for a 7th in return. So I'm not sure if that's the game's way of saying it can't be done or if in MP we'll be allowed to do it.

I just checked and you can. Doesn't seem right though.

Thanks I do not want to trade an injured player. But I have a guy coming off his injury and have lost him for the year because he is on IR. I just was not sure that once he became healthy if I would be able to trade him so he could play with another team this season.

I was mostly curious do not really want to lose the player.

          Thanks again

I agree. Seems too "horror movie-like". A player's gone for the year but wait.. no he's not.. he's back from the dead with a uniform change.

So when you trade him, he won't be on IR anymore?

See that is what I was curious about. If he is still on IR after the trade then it would be dumb to trade him.

                  Thanks for the input.
