O lines up with L and R positional designations referenced to their facing the LoS.

D lines up with L and R positional designations referenced to their facing the LoS.

Therefore the LT opposes the RDE.

The D is also set with the WLB on the Right side cause the TE traditionally lines up next to the RT?

when 34D goes nickle the WLB is replaced with the Nickle CB.
when 34D goes dime the SILB is replaced with the Dime CB.

when 43D goes nickle the WLB is replaced with the Nickle CB.
when 43D goes dime the MLB is replaced with the Dime CB.

        Hmmm,

The WLB lines opposite of the TE so that would be over LT (not RT), I think

Nickel Package is SLB/WLB and 5 DBs

Dime Package is WLB and DBs

That's the way I understand it

If you are saying those are the guys who are in in those situations, then you have it backwards. The guys you listed are the guys who are OUT of the game in those situations. If it was the way you put, then that would make the WLB your most important LB because he would be on the field the most. He is not on the field the most though, he is usually on the field the least of al; your LB's. That's because he is taken out first.

          Kobeck has them listed correctly.

All I know is when I did this last year, Hare's (my WLB) amount of pass plays were significantly more than my other LBs...

So what we're saying is IF I want my WLB to be in my DIME and NICKEL packages, i need to start him at SLB, right? I'm changing my export now

                    Ladies and Gents..

                    WHO'S ON THE FIELD

                    4-3 nickel = SLB, MLB
                    4-3 dime = SLB
                    -----
3-4 nickel = SLB, SILB, WILB
                    3-4 dime = SLB, WILB

Your WLB should either be your worse overall linebacker (you don't want him on the field much) OR he just plain sucks at pass coverage and you don't want him in on pass situations.

Thanks Jeff, I fixed mine. I got confused in switching from the 34 to 43 as I was reading the number of pass plays for my former WILB

Yeah, it's kind of strange that the WILB has priority over the SILB. That's how Mr. Maynard got left out of the lineup in our amazing playoff game in '04. He was my 3-4 WILB and I used a 4-3 against the Stallions in that game by mistake.

Don't forget where the TE lines up is actually up in the air. The way the came calls plays, the strength is set either right or left. That is the side the TE lines up on. In theory the WLB should flip back and forth from lining up near the RDE and LDE. But, I do not know for sure if the game models that!

Yeah In the NFL if the TE goes in motion the LB's usually flip.

                              1. I just assume the TE next to the RT and that makes the SLB over the TE on the Left as the D sees it. I have no clue if FOF2K4 does the same.

                              2. It would be great if the game does simulate this, but I also have no idea. Just thought it was important to mention it
