Had a good late FA. Signed everyone I was after. Got some good players to. A positive move considering my loss of one of my best players already.

Ahhh, I see. When I offered him LB Burl Nickles and next years second for LB Patch, he was apparently insulted and responded with:

It would seem that he feels that I undervalued his LB. /shrug. Usually, a team will make an offer, then the trading team, if they feel that more is needed to complete the trade, will counter offer with something they feel is more appropriate. I guess this was lost on him :roll:

And furthermore, lets take a look at the trade. You have LB:


He is a very solid starters and has his best year with 68tackles, 19 assists, and 2.5 sacks in 14 games.

Then you had my trade offer of Nickles:


No longer in the same class has Patch, but in limited action last year, had 44tackles 20assists, and 1 sack.

A difference of-24 tackles, and 1.5 sacks. Not to mention, Nickles did that in 5 less games. Now lets assume I get a very low draft pick next year, lets say.....30th. This is a LB that was drafted 30th in the second round:


Proving, you can still get quality players, late in the second round, even in a draft as weak has this years was.
I am not sure why he was so insulted, I do not believe that this offer was so far off he could not have countered. I guess he assumed I would trade him Bice and my first and second for his LB./Shrug.

Thats a lot of assuming. The only way you pick 30th will be if you trade for the pick.

When I said I am ok with people saying 'fuck you' I didn't mean everyone should start right away and do it often.

Perhaps in the future a reason for saying something like this would be nice atleast. Otherwise it comes of as pretty damn harsh and unwarranted, and it will just make you look like an ass to other owners.
