  • After much consideration Norfolk is stepping down

The IFL has always had the biggest soft spot for me when it came to playing FOF... From Cringer, Hooper, Matt, Jeff, Argot, Vito, and so many other vets... and of course all the current owners... there have been a lot of great times in this league... I still remember joining the IFL after Vito (fellow co-worker) started talking about the game... and next thing I knew I had joined... 2005... 20 years of playing this game...

Started out with the original Columbus Fire which of course turned in to the Georgia Generals. Left for a few and took over another team that Hooper allowed me to rename the Columbia Fire who are now the chicharrons... then last but not least we took over the Norfolk Vipers ( a truly legendary team ) and it was good owning a team we could never seem to beat... we of course renamed them to the Fleet...

I think in all my years... I only one the ship once (2034 season I believe) but also had some good deep runs in the playoffs.... Maybe I should have retired then lol...

I just wanted to take the time to say thanks to all owners past and present.. Maybe I will be back I do not know, but this time does feel to be a bit more private... I am sure someone will take the team over and win (something I cant seem to do - That and draft anymore)...

    Thanks you again

    David
